How much does the 2025 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 12.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,636 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade earns a 7.33/10 expert rating, and the model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

The Escalade’s appeal is rooted in its refreshed styling, redesigned dashboard display, and upscale cabin presentation. It also gives you a large, high-tech interior with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the kind of presence that makes it feel distinctly premium.

The trade-offs are clear: poor ride quality and poor value for money are both called out in expert testing, and the Escalade’s strengths are tied more to image, equipment, and luxury than to everyday efficiency or comfort on rough pavement.

With 35.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is presented as a traditional body-on-frame luxury SUV with a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic, which gives you a familiar mechanical setup rather than a complicated powertrain. The expert evaluation also notes that the gearbox shifts quickly and smoothly, and that the engine is solid.

Cadillac’s warranty coverage is generous for the class, with a four-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty. You also get roadside assistance, courtesy transportation, an eight-year basic OnStar subscription, and a three-year connectivity plan.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Escalade’s size, complexity, and fuel appetite can make upkeep and operating costs feel heavy over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report, verify service records, and prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, brakes, electronics, and interior condition. Because this is a large, expensive SUV with a lot of technology, it’s worth paying close attention to how well everything works rather than focusing only on mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Luxury base models use Interluxe synthetic leather upholstery, while other trims get real leather and available semi-aniline leather. The Sport models mainly change appearance with darkened exterior trim and mesh grilles, and Premium Luxury Platinum adds an illuminated Cadillac crest and grille surround.
• Powertrain: The 2025 model uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with a 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, four-wheel drive is optional on most models, and the Escalade-V uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with performance-focused all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, blind-zone steering assist, automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera system. Super Cruise is also included, along with teen-driver monitoring and the Safety Alert Seat.
• Infotainment: The updated cabin uses a 55-inch display spanning the dashboard, with a digital instrument cluster, central touchscreen, and front-passenger touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and Cadillac also offers an augmented-reality head-up display and night vision.
• Fuel efficiency: With rear-wheel drive, the Escalade is rated at 17 mpg combined, 15 mpg city, and 19 mpg highway. With four-wheel drive, it drops to 16 mpg combined, 14 mpg city, and 18 mpg highway. The high-horsepower V-Series returns 13 mpg combined, 11 mpg city, and 17 mpg highway.

Which 2025 Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is offered in 6 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum, and Escalade-V.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Escalade’s core presence and the refreshed cabin layout. It’s the trim to consider if you want the nameplate and the big-screen interior without chasing the highest sticker price.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it moves you into a more upscale experience without jumping all the way to the Platinum pricing. It’s the sweet spot if you want the Escalade’s luxury feel and equipment balance.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the darker exterior treatment and a more aggressive look. It’s mainly about style rather than a major mechanical change.
• Premium Luxury Platinum: This is the trim to buy if you want the richest cabin presentation and the most complete luxury experience. It’s the most convincing choice if you’re shopping for the Escalade at its best.
• Sport Platinum: Pick this if you want the Platinum-level equipment but prefer the Sport model’s darker visual theme.
• Escalade-V: This is the performance model, with a supercharged V8 and performance-focused all-wheel drive. It’s for you if outright power matters more than efficiency or value.

All but the base Luxury trim level have an electronic rear limited-slip differential, and Magnetic Ride Control is standard on all but the base Luxury grade.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,636 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $101,994, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $101,994 sits slightly below last year's $117,010.

That price movement suggests the Escalade has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers than it had a year ago. If you buy well now, you may be starting from a more favorable basis than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Escalade still commands premium money, but its resale strength depends heavily on condition, trim, and equipment. A well-optioned example should hold appeal better than a stripped one, especially if it presents cleanly and has desirable features.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade safe?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, blind-zone steering assist, automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera system. You also get the Safety Alert Seat, teen-driver monitoring, and Super Cruise for hands-free driving on mapped roads.

The main caveat is that current crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available at the time of publication, so you should lean more heavily on the standard safety equipment and the availability of Super Cruise when evaluating it.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.83% compared with last year.
• The refresh brings updated styling and a redesigned dashboard display.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new base trim and revised naming.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed cabin and stronger used-market pricing, the 2025 is the better buy. If you’re price-sensitive, shop the 2025 carefully and focus on clean, well-equipped examples rather than paying extra for a newer badge.
