How much does the 2025 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 12.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,645 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade earns a 7.3/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

You’re looking at a full-size luxury SUV that leans hard into presence, upscale materials, and modern tech. The 2025 refresh helps it feel current, and the redesigned dashboard display plus wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto make it especially appealing if you want a big, high-end utility vehicle with a strong tech story.

The trade-offs are real: poor ride quality and poor value for money are the main knocks, and poor fuel economy is part of the package too. If you want luxury, scale, and a distinctive image more than efficiency or bargain pricing, the Escalade fits that brief well.

36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there’s meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is built around a body-on-frame full-size SUV formula, and the 2025 update keeps the mechanical setup straightforward with a naturally aspirated V8 and a 10-speed automatic. That simpler powertrain layout should help long-term ownership feel familiar, even if the vehicle itself is large and complex.

Cadillac also backs it with a four-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which is a helpful cushion for used buyers. The Escalade’s performance content also points to a transmission that’s well matched to the vehicle’s job, with smooth, quick shifting and gearing that supports both low-speed movement and highway cruising.

Cadillac includes a three-year connectivity plan for Wi-Fi and in-car apps, which adds some ownership convenience. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is that a large, highly equipped luxury SUV can become expensive to keep in top shape once warranty coverage fades.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific listing matches its advertised equipment, especially on higher-trim examples with expensive options. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing because this is a large, complex luxury SUV with a lot of technology and available equipment. Focus on overall condition, since wear on the interior, wheels, brakes, and suspension can matter more than mileage alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Luxury base models still come in Uber spec, with Interluxe synthetic leather upholstery, while other trims get real leather and available semi-aniline leather. The Sport models mainly change appearance with darkened exterior trim and mesh grilles, and Premium Luxury Platinum adds an illuminated Cadillac crest and grille surround.
• Powertrain: Cadillac dropped the diesel for 2025, leaving the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, four-wheel drive is optional on most models, and the Escalade-V uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, blind-zone steering assist, automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera system. Super Cruise is also included, along with teen-driver monitoring.
• Infotainment: The 55-inch display spans the dashboard and combines the instrument cluster, central infotainment touchscreen, and front-passenger touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and a 19-speaker AKG audio system is standard.
• Fuel efficiency: With RWD, it’s EPA-rated at 17 mpg combined, 15 mpg city, and 19 mpg highway. With 4WD, it drops to 16 mpg combined, 14 mpg city, and 18 mpg highway.

Which 2025 Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is offered in 6 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum, and Escalade-V.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Escalade’s core presence and the updated tech-heavy cabin. It makes the most sense if you want the nameplate and the big-screen experience without chasing expensive extras.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the Platinum pricing. If you want the sweet spot between equipment and cost, start here.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the darker exterior treatment and mesh grille look. It’s more about style than a major equipment leap.
• Premium Luxury Platinum: This is the trim to target if you want the richest cabin experience and the strongest sense of luxury. It’s the one that best matches the Escalade’s upscale mission.
• Sport Platinum: Pick this if you want the Platinum-level equipment with the Sport appearance theme. It’s for buyers who want maximum content and a more aggressive look.
• Escalade-V: This is the performance model, with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 and a performance-focused AWD system. It’s for buyers who want the most power and the most dramatic character.

All but the base Luxury trim level have an electronic rear limited-slip differential, and Magnetic Ride Control is standard on all but the base Luxury grade.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,645 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $101,091, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $101,091 sits slightly below last year's $115,497.

That price movement suggests the Escalade has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers than it had a year ago. If you buy well now, you may avoid paying peak-market pricing while still getting a current-generation luxury SUV with strong equipment and brand appeal.

For a future seller, the main takeaway is that resale value will depend heavily on trim, condition, and equipment. Well-optioned examples should remain easier to move than stripped versions, but the broader market trend shows that pricing pressure is real.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade safe?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, blind-zone steering assist, automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera system. Super Cruise is also part of the package, and Cadillac adds a vibrating Safety Alert Seat to help communicate warnings.

One caveat is that current crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA weren’t available at the time of publication. Even so, the Escalade’s standard safety equipment is broad, and the hands-free driving system adds a meaningful tech advantage for highway use.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.47% compared with last year.
• The 2025 refresh brings styling changes and a redesigned dashboard display.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new base trim and revised naming while carrying over the refreshed mechanical package.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the current Escalade formula and you’re shopping the used market, the 2025 is the better primary target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, nearby model years may be worth a look, but the 2025’s refresh and softer pricing make it the most balanced choice here.
