Is the 2025 Cadillac CT4 a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac CT4 stands out as a compact luxury sedan with a distinctly American personality. It uses a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, with all-wheel drive available on some models, and its stiff chassis helps give it a true sport-sedan feel. Cadillac’s design language is also a major part of the appeal: the CT4’s blocky shape, jagged lines, and T-shaped headlights and taillights make it look unmistakably like a Cadillac rather than a generic compact sedan.

For buyers, the CT4’s range is a big part of its identity. The lineup includes turbocharged 2.0-liter and 2.7-liter four-cylinder engines, while the high-performance CT4-V Blackwing uses a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6. The model also offers a broad mix of comfort, tech, and performance equipment, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, available driver-assistance features, and performance-focused hardware such as Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control dampers on some versions, and a mechanical limited-slip rear differential on the CT4-V. That combination makes the CT4 appealing to shoppers who want a premium sedan that can be configured for everyday use or a more serious driving experience.

There are tradeoffs, though. The base model is described as sluggish, and the back seat is cramped, so it is not the most practical choice in the segment. Even so, the CT4 remains distinctive because it blends rear-drive dynamics, sharp styling, and a wide performance spread in a package that feels different from many of its rivals.

With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

For long-term ownership, you should expect the usual used-luxury-car risk profile: maintenance history and condition matter a lot, especially if the car was driven hard or equipped with more performance-oriented hardware.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac CT4?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully for prior damage, title issues, and any signs of repeated repairs. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the suspension, brakes, tires, electronics, and any performance equipment that could be expensive to refresh. Pay extra attention to overall condition and maintenance records, since a premium sedan like this can vary a lot from one example to the next.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac CT4?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 465 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,587, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac CT4's resale value?

The current average of $37,862 sits slightly below last year's $40,689.

That price movement suggests the CT4 has softened enough to help you buy more selectively today, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the car. If you keep mileage reasonable, maintain it carefully, and avoid examples with accident history, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. Performance-oriented trims and well-kept examples may hold appeal, but condition will matter a lot in this segment.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac CT4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.95% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 CT4 makes the most sense if you want the current-year mix of style, rear-drive character, and a market that is giving you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 is the better starting point when you want a distinctive compact luxury sedan and a decent share of clean, fairly priced listings.
