How much does the 2025 BMW 5 Series cost?

Prices have softened 13.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,048 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 BMW 5 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 5 Series stands out as a midsize luxury sedan that blends strong performance with a lot of technology and a noticeably larger footprint than before. It offers more passenger room, a completely new aerodynamic design, and a lineup that includes gas-powered and electric versions, so you can shop for the setup that fits your needs.

Inside, the curved display gives the cabin a modern feel, but the system can take time to learn and some buyers may miss more direct controls. The car’s main tradeoff is that its trunk is smaller than before, so the added size does not translate into more cargo space.

With 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 BMW 5 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 5 Series comes across as a well-equipped, thoughtfully updated luxury sedan with a strong emphasis on technology and comfort. Its broad feature set and expanded cabin space make it appealing if you want a modern daily driver with premium appeal.

The biggest ownership risk for used buyers is that the most desirable driver-assistance features may be tied to extra-cost packages, so you should verify equipment carefully before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 5 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm that the car’s equipment matches the listing, especially if you want advanced driver-assistance features. Prioritize an inspection of the infotainment system, control interfaces, and overall interior condition, since the cabin technology is a major part of the ownership experience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 5 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,048 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,839, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 5 Series's resale value?

The current average of $47,839 sits slightly below last year's $55,607.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to resell later, the current softness may limit near-term upside unless demand strengthens. For a future seller, condition, mileage, and equipment will matter even more when the market is already pricing the car below last year’s level.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 5 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.97% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $43,147, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $47,839 average.
• It emphasizes a calm ride and quiet cabin.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $58,282, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $47,839 average.
• It feels more balanced between comfort, technology, and driving enjoyment.

The bottom line: the 2025 is the best all-around pick if you want the newest body style and a softer used-market price than last year. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if comfort matters more than having the latest version.
