How much does the 2025 Audi SQ5 cost?

Prices have softened 5.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 293 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 earns a 7.2/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

The SQ5 is aimed at you if you want a compact luxury crossover SUV that feels sporty, luxurious, and fun to drive, with a redesign that adds more power, more practicality, and next-generation technology. The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and lacks hands-free driving tech. Even so, the market shows 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is presented as a redesigned luxury SUV with a strong mechanical package, standard Quattro all-wheel drive, and a turbocharged V6 that feels confident in everyday use. In testing, it proved sure-footed in wet conditions and remained composed on rougher roads, which supports the idea that it should be a solid daily driver.

The performance notes also point to a well-sorted drivetrain and chassis, with the air suspension, brakes, and all-wheel-drive system working together to keep the SUV stable and controlled. Audi’s broader ownership pitch is helped by the standard warranty coverage and roadside assistance, and the brand is adding complimentary scheduled service for 2026.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not the core hardware but the driver-assistance behavior and the possibility that those systems may undermine confidence over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report, verify service records, and prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus especially on the condition of the driver-assistance systems, since the test vehicle showed behavior that could affect trust in daily use. It also makes sense to check wheel, tire, brake, and suspension condition closely, because the SQ5’s sporty setup can make wear more noticeable.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Premium trim gives you the core SQ5 experience with standard leather-like upholstery, illuminated sill plates, stainless steel pedal caps, and the sporty interior design, while Premium Plus and Prestige add more luxury and tech. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting if you care about the richer screen setup and higher-end convenience features.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive. The setup is quick, smooth, and tuned for strong everyday performance, though fuel economy is not a strength.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a semi-autonomous parking assistance system, and safe exit assist. Premium Plus adds Adaptive Cruise Assist with lane-centering and a surround-view camera system, so that is the trim where the safety tech becomes more complete.
• Infotainment: Premium and Premium Plus include an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 14.5-inch OLED touchscreen, while Prestige adds a 10.9-inch passenger screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with navigation and Audi Assistant, so the tech suite is strong even before you move up the range.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA fuel economy rating is 22 mpg combined, and testing returned 20.4 mpg.

Which 2025 Audi SQ5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the SQ5’s core performance, standard all-wheel drive, and the full set of basic luxury and safety features without paying for extras you may not need.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim because it adds the 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a configurable head-up display, Adaptive Cruise Assist with lane-centering, and a surround-view camera system. If you want the most useful upgrades without jumping to the top price tier, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale cabin and the most visual flair, including the passenger display and Dynamic Interaction Lighting. It suits you best if you care most about luxury presentation and extra cabin wow factor.

Audi’s safety package starts with a strong standard feature list, and Premium Plus is the trim where the added driver-assistance hardware becomes especially compelling.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you have room to shop carefully and still find a strong example.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 293 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $55,295, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi SQ5's resale value?

The current average of $55,295 sits slightly below last year's $58,703.

That decline suggests the market has moved in your favor if you’re buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you keep the SUV in strong condition and avoid accident history, you should be better positioned than sellers of higher-mileage or poorly maintained examples. The current trend also implies that depreciation pressure is still present, so buying at a good price matters.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 safe?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 does not have released IIHS or NHTSA crash-test ratings in the available data.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a semi-autonomous parking assistance system, and safe exit assist. Premium Plus adds Adaptive Cruise Assist with lane-centering and a surround-view camera system, and Audi also says its Active Front Assist umbrella includes front cross-traffic assist, intersection turn assist, and evasive steering assist.

The main caveat is the driver-assistance behavior: the SQ5 lacks hands-free traffic jam assist and hands-free driving tech, and the test vehicle also issued unnecessary warnings and an unexpected hard-braking event. That means you should treat the safety tech as useful but not fully trustworthy.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi SQ5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.80% compared with last year.
• The redesigned SQ5 is praised for being fun to drive, comfortable, and impressive on technology.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned SQ5 with stronger performance, better tech, and a more polished overall package, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but you’ll be giving up some of the redesign’s appeal.
