Used 2025 Audi S5 for Sale nearDecatur, IL

Is the 2025 Audi S5 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Audi S5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

It is positioned as a performance-tuned sportback that rewards enthusiastic driving, and the overview emphasizes a blend of performance, comfort, utility, and the latest technology. The expert review backs that up with strong marks for performance, form and function, and technology, plus a verdict that says the car really comes alive on a favorite back road rather than in ordinary luxury-sedan use.

The trade-offs are clear: the styling is described as uninspired, the highway ride can be noisy, and the driver-assistance tech is not especially impressive. Even so, if you want a sporty daily driver with real cargo utility and a stealthier personality, it fits that brief well.

Good and great deals account for 30% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Audi S5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview and expert review both frame the 2025 Audi S5 as a well-rounded, high-quality sportback with strong performance and useful everyday practicality. The expert notes also describe the engine as a deeply satisfying powerplant with prompt power delivery, and the car’s overall refinement and technological sophistication are presented as strengths.

The ownership picture is helped by the car’s broad capability, but the same review also points to a stiff ride and a noisy cabin at speed, which can affect day-to-day comfort over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is living with those compromises if you expect a quiet, relaxed luxury car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi S5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on cabin condition, wheel and brake wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features operate as intended, since those systems are a major part of the car’s appeal.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige each add equipment, with the base trim carrying the core design and utility but fewer convenience and tech upgrades than the higher trims.
• Powertrain: A turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 makes 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and standard Quattro all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: The Premium trim includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and Emergency Assist. Adaptive Cruise Assist, a surround-view camera system, and Park Assist Plus are added on Premium Plus and Prestige.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, with a 10.9-inch passenger screen on Prestige. Wireless smartphone integration and OTA capability are not stated.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA combined rating is 22 mpg, and the review recorded 21.8 mpg on a testing loop.

Which 2025 Audi S5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi S5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, but it still brings the full core safety suite, the V6 powertrain, and the Sportback body’s cargo utility. It makes the most sense if you want the S5 experience without paying for the extra tech and convenience features.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the head-up display, the 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, Adaptive Cruise Assist, a surround-view camera system, and Park Assist Plus.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want the most upscale version, including the passenger touchscreen and the adaptive-damping sport suspension. It is the most feature-rich trim, but the added cost is best justified if you will use the extra tech and comfort equipment.

The safety package is strongest on Premium Plus and Prestige because those trims add Adaptive Cruise Assist, the surround-view camera system, and Park Assist Plus.

Is the 2025 Audi S5 safe?

The 2025 Audi S5 earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Audi S5 Premium boasts a comprehensive list of driver-assistance systems, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and Emergency Assist. Premium Plus and Prestige add Adaptive Cruise Assist, which brings lane-centering assist, plus a surround-view camera system and Park Assist Plus.

The review also highlights a shortcoming: the lane-assist behavior can be overly aggressive and inconsistent, and the system can brake unexpectedly. That makes the higher-level assistance tech something you should test carefully before you buy.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi S5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned S5 emphasizes thrilling dynamics, strong utility, and the new Audi Digital Stage tech.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an all-new MMI system with AI-enhanced voice controls and complimentary scheduled maintenance.

The bottom line: If you want the sharper, more current version of the S5’s redesign, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more focused on improved ownership perks and a revised infotainment experience, the 2026 is worth a look, especially if pricing is close.

How does the 2025 Audi S5 compare to the 2025 BMW M4?

Expert Pros & Cons (per CarGurus review team)

2025 Audi S5:

• Pros: Fun to drive, Plenty of cargo space, Impressive Audi Digital Stage tech.
• Cons: Uninspired styling, Noisy on the highway, Unimpressive driver assist tech.

2025 BMW M4:

• Pros: Fast, Fun to drive, Four-passenger seating.
• Cons: Expensive, Hit-and-miss tech, Cramped back seat.

Our experts score the 2025 Audi S5 7/10 and the 2025 BMW M4 8.2/10. The Audi is the more practical choice if you want cargo space and a more usable daily-driver layout, while the BMW leans harder into outright performance. The M4 is quicker and more focused, but it also costs more and gives you less rear-seat room. If you want a sportier car that still works well as an everyday liftback, the S5 makes the stronger case.
