Used 2025 Audi S5 for Sale nearBakersfield, CA

Is the 2025 Audi S5 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Audi S5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

It stands out as a performance-tuned sportback that blends driving enjoyment with everyday usefulness, and it’s described as updated and mostly upgraded. You get a stealthy design, thrilling dynamics, and enough room for a family of four, which makes it a strong fit if you want something that feels special on a favorite back road but still works as a practical luxury vehicle.

The trade-offs are clear: the styling is uninspired, the highway ride can be noisy, and the driver assistance tech is unimpressive. Even so, the S5’s fun-to-drive character, cargo space, and technology help it make a compelling case for shoppers who value versatility and performance over flash.

Good and great deals account for 36.0% of listings, which gives you a decent amount of market choice.

Is the 2025 Audi S5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Audi S5 is presented as a refined, well-equipped luxury sportback with strong everyday usability, and its performance hardware is described in confident terms. The turbocharged V6 is called a deeply satisfying powerplant with seemingly limitless power, and the car’s steering, brakes, grip, and adaptive damping are all praised for their precision and control.

On the ownership side, Audi includes a generous trial subscription to connected services, which helps the tech experience feel more complete early on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s high-performance character and complex technology may make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi S5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of hard use, and whether the technology and driver-assistance systems behave as expected in real-world driving.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige variants range from $63,995 to $71,545, and the base Premium already brings a wide set of standard driver-assistance features. The higher trims add more convenience and tech, so you should pay close attention to whether the extra equipment matters to you.
• Powertrain: The S5 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission and standard Quattro all-wheel drive. It’s tuned for strong acceleration and engaging driving, but it also carries a noticeable weight penalty and a combined fuel economy rating of 22 mpg.
• Safety package: Every Premium includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and Emergency Assist. Premium Plus and Prestige add Adaptive Cruise Assist, which brings lane-centering, plus a surround-view camera system and Park Assist Plus.
• Infotainment: The S5 features an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, with a 10.9-inch passenger screen on Prestige. Wireless smartphone integration and over-the-air capability are not stated, but the Audi Digital Assistant and connected services are highlighted as strengths.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA fuel economy rating is 22 mpg in combined city and highway driving, and the review notes that the BMW alternative is far more fuel-efficient.

Which 2025 Audi S5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi S5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the trim to start with if you want the core S5 experience and the strongest value. It already includes the full driver-assistance suite, the sportback utility, and the turbocharged V6 performance, so you get the essentials without paying for extras you may not need.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more everyday convenience and tech. It adds a helpful head-up display and a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D audio, making it the sweet spot for buyers who want a richer cabin experience.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want the most upscale and tech-heavy version. It adds the front passenger touchscreen and the adaptive-damping sport suspension, and it’s the trim to consider if you want the most complete S5 package.

Choose the Premium Plus or Prestige if you want Adaptive Cruise Assist, since that trim-level safety upgrade adds lane-centering, a surround-view camera system, and Park Assist Plus.

Is the 2025 Audi S5 safe?

The 2025 Audi S5 earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Audi S5 Premium boasts a comprehensive list of driver-assistance systems, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and Emergency Assist.

Choose Premium Plus or Prestige if you want Adaptive Cruise Assist, which adds lane-centering, along with a surround-view camera system and Park Assist Plus. The review also flags a shortcoming: the lane-assist system can be overly aggressive and inconsistent, and the car does not offer hands-free traffic jam assist or hands-free highway capability at this price.
