How much does the 2025 Audi Q5 cost?

Prices have softened 7.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,251 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi Q5 earns a 7.17/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

You get a comfortable compact luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive and easy-to-use technology, and the redesign gives it a more modern feel while keeping the Q5’s everyday polish. The trade-offs are a potentially polarizing design and an irritating transmission, plus the high base price may make you think twice if you’re shopping carefully.

For buyers who want a refined, well-equipped luxury SUV that prioritizes comfort and usability, the Q5 fits that brief well. The market also shows 44.4% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop patiently.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is presented as a polished, well-rounded redesign with standard all-wheel drive and a premium-feeling cabin, which supports its case as a sensible everyday luxury SUV. Its powertrain is described as competent rather than especially quick, and the transmission behavior is a notable drawback, but the overall package is aimed at easy daily use.

Audi says the Q5 uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive, with a turbocharged four-cylinder in the base model and a turbocharged V6 in the SQ5. The performance notes also point to capable, but not sporty, handling and a suspension setup tuned for balance rather than excitement.

Audi also includes a four-year/50,000-mile new vehicle warranty and equivalent powertrain coverage, which helps with early ownership confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a premium, tech-heavy SUV can become expensive to live with if you want to keep it beyond the warranty period.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi Q5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific car’s equipment matches the trim you want. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful on a tech-heavy luxury SUV like this, since you’ll want to confirm that the screens, driver-assistance features, and drivetrain all behave as expected. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s feature set justifies its price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Premium is the base trim, while Premium Plus and Prestige add more equipment. The base model misses LED Headlights Plus, and Premium Plus and Prestige also get programmable OLED taillights.
• Powertrain: The base Q5 uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the SQ5 uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with 362 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Audi estimates 25 mpg combined for the Q5 and 22 mpg combined for the SQ5.
• Safety package: Standard features include adaptive cruise control, active front assist with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and swerve and turn aids, plus lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and exit alert. Premium Plus adds a 360-degree camera system and adaptive cruise assist.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a cooled wireless charging pad. Prestige adds a 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen, and Premium Plus adds four USB-C ports plus a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Audi estimates 25 mpg combined, 22 mpg city, and 30 mpg highway for the Q5, and 22 mpg combined, 19 mpg city, and 26 mpg highway for the SQ5.

Which 2025 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q5 experience with standard all-wheel drive, the dual-clutch transmission, and the new tech-heavy cabin. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra lighting and convenience upgrades.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise assist, four USB-C ports, and the 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. If you want the most useful upgrades without jumping to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This trim is for you if you want the most upscale Q5 experience, including the passenger touchscreen and the available air suspension on the Q5. It’s the right pick if you care most about luxury features and are willing to pay for them.

Premium Plus and Prestige also get programmable OLED taillights, while the base Premium does not.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi Q5?

• Deal availability: 44.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,251 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 97.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,778, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $43,778 sits slightly below last year's $47,196.

That price movement suggests the Q5 has already absorbed some of its near-term depreciation, which can help if you buy at the right number. If you plan to resell later, a lower entry price gives you a better chance of limiting your loss versus paying closer to the top of the range.

The flip side is that a high starting price can still weigh on future resale if the market keeps favoring newer, better-equipped rivals. For you, the smartest move is to buy only when the trim and condition justify the asking price.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 safe?

The 2025 Audi Q5 was just reaching showrooms at press time, so crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, active front assist with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, swerve and turn aids, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and exit alert. Premium Plus adds a 360-degree camera system and adaptive cruise assist, which brings lane keep assist and automatic speed adjustment as limits change.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 44.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.24% compared with last year.
• It gives you the redesigned Q5 with updated tech and a more modern cabin.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It leans even harder into screens and tech-focused cabin design.

The bottom line: If you want the newest redesign and a market that’s already softened, the 2025 is the better starting point. If you’re price-sensitive, compare it against the 2026 only if the newer model’s tech-heavy cabin and feature mix are worth paying more for.
