Used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport for Sale nearPhiladelphia, PA

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport cost?

Prices have softened 11.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,398 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.0/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Technology and Safety.

The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport is aimed at you if you want the Atlas formula without the third row, and the refresh gives it more standard features and a more modern feature set. It stands out for standard advanced safety equipment, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and plenty of cargo space.

The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, performance is fairly pedestrian, and the ride quality is poor. If you value a practical two-row SUV with a strong equipment list more than driving excitement, it fits that use case well.

39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Volkswagen’s updated turbocharged four-cylinder is described as working well with the eight-speed automatic, and it brings earlier peak torque than the outgoing V6. The fuel-economy figures also hold steady despite the added power, which is a good sign for everyday ownership costs.

Volkswagen includes two years or 20,000 miles of scheduled maintenance and three years or 36,000 miles of roadside assistance, which helps soften early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the same strengths that make it appealing — standard equipment and space — are paired with a ride and cabin polish that may not age as gracefully as you’d like.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or wheel sizes. Focus on cabin condition, rear-seat comfort, and whether the ride quality feels acceptable on the roads you drive most.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE gets 18-inch alloy wheels, while SE with Technology and SEL models move to 20-inch wheels, SEL R-Line adds sportier styling elements, and SEL Premium R-Line gets 21-inch wheels. The cabin also steps up from standard leatherette upholstery to leather seats on SEL and higher models, with quilted leather upholstery on the top trim.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, with 4Motion all-wheel drive available.
• Safety package: IQ.Drive is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. SEL and SEL R-Line add predictive adaptive cruise control, while the Premium R-Line adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: A 12-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging are standard. SE with Technology and above also get a USB-C dash cam port.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 23 mpg combined with FWD and 22 mpg combined with AWD. City and highway ratings are 20/27 mpg with FWD and 19/26 mpg with AWD.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SE with Technology, SEL, SEL R-Line, and SEL Premium R-Line.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and still want the refreshed model’s standard safety tech, wireless smartphone integration, and 12-inch touchscreen. It’s the trim to start with if you care most about getting the Cross Sport’s core strengths at the lowest cost.
• SE with Technology: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful everyday upgrades, including the USB-C dash cam port and additional convenience equipment, without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• SEL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel, since it adds leather seats and a head-up display while keeping the Cross Sport’s practical two-row layout.
• SEL R-Line: This is for you if you want the sportier appearance package and the more distinctive wheel and body treatment, along with the added predictive adaptive cruise control.
• SEL Premium R-Line: This is the top choice if you want the most equipment, including the surround-view camera system, park assist, 21-inch wheels, and the upgraded audio system.

All Cross Sport models come standard with IQ.Drive, and the Premium R-Line adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,398 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,410, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport's resale value?

The current average of $30,410 sits slightly below last year's $34,328.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than on broad market appreciation.

Because the price trend has softened, a well-kept example bought at the right number may be easier to move later if demand stays steady. Higher-spec trims with desirable equipment may also hold buyer interest better than a stripped-down version.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport safe?

The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side-impact crash testing and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

IQ.Drive is standard on all 2024 Atlas Cross Sport models and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. SEL and SEL R-Line add predictive adaptive cruise control, while the Premium R-Line adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

IIHS ratings were not yet released for this model year at the time of publication, so the strongest published crash-test result here is the NHTSA score.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Volkswagen gave this year a meaningful refresh with more standard features, updated styling, and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better pick if you want the refreshed Cross Sport with more standard equipment and a modernized powertrain. If you’re mainly chasing the lowest possible price, a nearby older model may be worth a look, but you’ll be giving up some of the updates that make this year more appealing.
