Used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport for Sale nearAtlanta, GA

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport cost?

Prices have softened 11.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,386 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Technology and Safety.

The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport is aimed at you if you want the Atlas formula without the third row, and the refresh gives it more standard features plus updated styling. It stands out for standard advanced safety features, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and plenty of cargo space. The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, performance is fairly pedestrian, and the ride quality is poor.

Good and great deals account for 42.9% of listings, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport’s updated formula leans on standard equipment and a simpler turbocharged four-cylinder setup, which should make it easier to live with than the older six-cylinder arrangement. Its fuel economy is also respectable for the class, and Volkswagen backs it with a four-year, 50,000-mile warranty plus scheduled maintenance coverage for two years or 20,000 miles.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that the same compromises that show up in testing — especially the ride quality and rear-seat space — may matter more once the novelty wears off.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping higher-mileage examples or a trim with larger wheels. Focus on cabin condition, ride quality, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE gets 18-inch alloy wheels, while SE with Technology and SEL models move to 20-inch wheels; SEL R-Line adds sportier styling elements, and SEL Premium R-Line gets 21-inch wheels plus quilted leather upholstery. The base trim also misses some of the richer cabin touches found higher up, so it’s worth checking whether the equipment gap matters to you.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 model uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic, standard front-wheel drive, and available 4Motion all-wheel drive. It makes 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque on regular fuel, and Volkswagen says it should be quicker to 60 mph than the prior V6 model.
• Safety package: IQ.Drive is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. SEL and SEL R-Line add predictive adaptive cruise control, while Premium R-Line models add park assist and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: You get a 12-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. SE with Technology and above also add a USB-C dash cam port.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 23 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 22 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. Volkswagen also says the new turbo-four delivers about the same fuel economy as the outgoing engine while adding power.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SE with Technology, SEL, SEL R-Line, and SEL Premium R-Line.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it still brings the refreshed styling, standard safety suite, 12-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the new turbo-four. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest price and can live without the extra convenience and luxury features higher trims add.
• SE with Technology: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful everyday upgrades without jumping too far in price. You get more convenience-focused equipment, including the USB-C dash cam port, while keeping the core strengths of the refreshed model.
• SEL: This trim adds more comfort and convenience, including leather seats and a head-up display. It’s a good fit if you want a more upscale feel without stepping all the way to the R-Line models.
• SEL R-Line: This is the choice if you want the sportier appearance package and the extra visual distinction that comes with it. It builds on the SEL’s equipment while adding the R-Line styling treatment.
• SEL Premium R-Line: This is the most luxurious version, with quilted leather upholstery, 21-inch wheels, the premium audio system, park assist, and a surround-view camera system. It’s the one to choose if you want the most features and don’t mind paying for them.

The standard IQ.Drive safety package is a strong reason to shop any trim, but the higher trims add useful driver-assistance and parking features if you want more convenience.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport's resale value?

The current average of $30,494 sits slightly below last year's $34,494.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect a more competitive resale environment than last year. Well-equipped examples with desirable features and clean history should still draw interest, but you may need to price them aggressively to move them quickly.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport or consider a different year?

• 42.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model gets a significant refresh, more standard features, and the new turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The bottom line: if you want the refreshed Atlas Cross Sport with more standard equipment and a more modern feature set, the 2024 is the better path. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare listings closely and focus on the trims that deliver the features you’ll actually use, since the market already shows meaningful price softness.
