Is the 2024 Toyota bZ4X a good car?

The 2024 Toyota bZ4X sits in a moderate market position, so it can make sense if you want a straightforward electric crossover and you shop carefully. The model year’s market data points to a balanced buying environment rather than a clear bargain or a premium-priced outlier.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota bZ4X?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the car’s actual condition and equipment. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-electric system, tires, brakes, and any signs of uneven wear or prior repairs. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a clean history does not replace a close look at how the vehicle has been used.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota bZ4X?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best listings may move quickly.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 583 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,920, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota bZ4X's resale value?

The current average of $24,943 sits slightly below last year's $26,055.

That softer pricing can help you buy with less upfront risk if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so resale expectations should stay realistic. If you buy well today, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation pressure later.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota bZ4X or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.27% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,406, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $24,943 average.
• It was Toyota’s first U.S.-market electric crossover.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2024 if you want the current-year market and a decent mix of clean, fairly priced listings. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one in strong condition and with the equipment you want.
