How much does the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have softened 6.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 878 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It pairs retro styling with modern comfort and convenience, and it is described as comfortable and impressive off-road. The main trade-offs are that you do not get a third row, and it can ask more money than some rivals.

With 36.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a meaningful share of inventory worth shopping carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Land Cruiser’s return to the U.S. market comes with an all-new design, but Toyota leans on familiar strengths like capability and everyday usability. Its hybrid powertrain, full-time 4WD, and locking differentials point to a durable, purpose-built setup, while the brand’s track record adds confidence.

The hybrid system and modern equipment should help it feel current for years, but used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition because this is a new-generation model with limited long-term track record.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has seen off-road use. Focus on underbody condition, tire wear, and signs of trail damage, since this SUV is built for capability and may have been used that way.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim gets cloth seats and an 8-inch center display, while the middle trim upgrades to SofTex seating and a 10-speaker sound system. The First Edition adds real leather, a roof rack, a front skid plate, mudflaps, and trim-specific logos, while the Premium Package on the top two trims adds a moonroof and ventilated front seats.
• Powertrain: The Land Cruiser uses Toyota’s i-Force MAX hybrid setup with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 48-hp electric motor, and a total output of 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission, standard full-time 4WD, and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.
• Infotainment: The Land Cruiser’s larger setup uses a 12.3-inch center touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. You also get two USB-C ports up front and two in the rear, while the base 1958 trim uses an 8-inch display and a six-speaker sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 23 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 3 trim levels: 1958, Land Cruiser, First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Land Cruiser’s core hybrid powertrain, standard 4WD, and the basic infotainment setup. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the nicer cabin and tech upgrades.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the more upscale interior materials, the larger infotainment setup, and the mid-tier off-road and tech features. It also unlocks the Premium Package, which adds useful comfort and convenience upgrades.
• First Edition: This is the most fully equipped version, with extra standard off-road gear, leather upholstery, and the most complete feature set. It suits you best if you want the most capability and equipment right from the start.

The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, and those features are standard on the First Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 878 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $59,275, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $59,275 sits slightly below last year's $63,113.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward from a stronger position a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation compared with paying closer to the top of the range.

Because the Land Cruiser still has strong demand, especially among buyers who value capability and heritage, well-kept examples should remain easier to resell than less distinctive SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2024 Land Cruiser has not been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model returns the Land Cruiser to the U.S. with an all-new hybrid platform and retro-inspired design.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,709, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $59,275 average.
• It is almost unchanged, but the review highlights worse fuel economy and recommends upgrading from the base 1958 trim.

The bottom line: If you want the better value and the novelty of the redesigned return, the 2024 is the smarter buy. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year with minimal changes, the 2025 is a reasonable alternative, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2024.
