How much does the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have softened 6.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 943 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The overview frames it as an all-new return of Toyota’s original SUV to the U.S., with retro styling, modern comfort and convenience, and strong off-road ability. That makes it a fit for you if you want a heritage-rich SUV that still feels current rather than purely nostalgic.

The main trade-offs are that it has no option for a third row and it costs more than many rivals. The expert review also points to those pricing and packaging compromises even while praising its capability and comfort.

With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview and expert review both point to a vehicle built around durability-minded capability, modern comfort, and Toyota’s established SUV heritage. The hybrid powertrain, full-time 4WD, and off-road hardware suggest a design focused on doing hard work without feeling stripped down.

The performance write-up also emphasizes the hybrid setup’s strong output and the way the drivetrain stays composed on challenging terrain. On the cost side, the Land Cruiser’s broad accessory support can help you tailor ownership to your needs, including practical upgrades.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying a premium for a vehicle whose appeal depends heavily on its specific mix of capability and comfort.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has seen trail use or heavy towing. Focus on underbody condition, wheel and tire wear, and signs that off-road hardware has been stressed.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim uses cloth seats and the simpler 8-inch infotainment setup, while the middle trim upgrades to SofTex seating and a 10-speaker sound system; the First Edition adds leather, a roof rack, a front skid plate, mudflaps, and other off-road-focused gear.
• Powertrain: The Land Cruiser uses Toyota’s i-Force MAX hybrid setup with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a 48-hp electric motor, 326 horsepower, 465 lb-ft of torque, an eight-speed automatic, and standard full-time 4WD with high and low range.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses an 8-inch center display and a six-speaker sound system. Higher trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available upgrades such as a 14-speaker JBL system, head-up display, and digital rear-view mirror.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 23 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 3 trim levels: 1958, Land Cruiser, First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Land Cruiser’s core hybrid powertrain, standard 4WD, and the classic boxy look at the lowest price. It is the trim to consider if you want the nameplate and capability without paying for the extra comfort and off-road hardware higher up.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the middle-ground mix of upgraded seating, the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, and available Premium Package content without jumping all the way to the top model. It also gets the features that make the truck feel more modern and easier to live with.
• First Edition: This is the most fully equipped version, with leather, unique trim details, and standard off-road gear such as a roof rack, front skid plate, and mudflaps. It makes sense if you want the most distinctive and most capable-looking Land Cruiser right away.

The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 943 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $59,523, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $59,523 sits slightly below last year's $63,454.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you better entry pricing than a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean less immediate depreciation pressure if you buy near the lower end of the range.

The Land Cruiser’s strong brand appeal and distinctive positioning should help support demand, especially among buyers who want capability and heritage in one package. If you buy well, the model’s current pricing trend may leave room for a more stable resale story later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2024 Land Cruiser has not been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 is the all-new U.S. return of the Land Cruiser, with retro styling and strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,921, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $59,523 average.
• It is almost unchanged, but the updated overview emphasizes a two-row midsize SUV with a more power-focused hybrid setup.

The bottom line: If you want the better-value entry point into the modern Land Cruiser, the 2024 is the smarter buy because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you are shopping strictly on feature continuity and don’t mind paying more, the 2025 remains a reasonable alternative, but it does not appear to bring a major enough change to outweigh the 2024’s lower average price.
