What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on overall condition, since a clean record does not guarantee the vehicle has been cared for consistently. Pay close attention to signs of interior wear, suspension feel, and how well the infotainment and comfort features work, because those are the kinds of details that matter most in a used family SUV.

What is the 2024 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $39,208 sits slightly above last year's $39,152. That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can help support resale confidence because buyers tend to trust models that hold their value without dramatic drops. The Highlander’s practical reputation and broad appeal should continue to help it attract shoppers when it’s time to list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market stability, clean inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition and asking price, since the Highlander’s core appeal is consistent across the range.
