Why it stands out
The 2024 Toyota 4Runner continues to be a strong contender in the midsize SUV market, particularly for off-road enthusiasts due to its durable construction and respectable off-road capabilities. Despite its aging platform, the 4Runner offers distinctive features like a sturdy frame and ample cargo space, making it a practical choice for adventure seekers. However, the vehicle's slow performance, poor handling in urban settings, and relatively low fuel efficiency—rated at 16 mpg city, 19 mpg highway—may deter those looking for a more modern everyday driving experience. Drivers value the traditional Toyota reliability, though many contend that the technology and safety features are lagging behind newer competitors. The expert review highlights the 4Runner's ruggedness, but also mentions the need for a redesign, which may impact future resale values.

This is one of the best cars on the market. The only thing i think its missing is a leveling kit. Having it sit a little higher i think makes it easier to see/ safer. The reliability and low car maintenance make this a great option for someone who doesnt want to spend money on repairs.
