How much does the 2024 Subaru WRX cost?

Prices have softened 3.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 986 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Subaru WRX a good car?

The 2024 Subaru WRX stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate famous: a turbocharged Boxer engine, standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and a setup aimed squarely at enthusiasts who want a practical sports car. It is also part of the WRX’s latest generation, which debuted for the 2022 model year and is sedan-only. For buyers who value all-weather traction and a manual transmission, that combination remains a major part of the WRX’s appeal.

More broadly, the WRX lineup offers a mix of performance and everyday usability, with features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available upgrades like an 11.6-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive dampers on higher trims. There are tradeoffs, though, including outdated technology, a cramped back seat in older models, and poor fuel economy.

With 37.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitively priced example.

Is the 2024 Subaru WRX reliable?

The 2024 Subaru WRX stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate famous: a turbocharged Boxer engine, standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and a setup aimed squarely at enthusiasts who want a practical sports car. For buyers who value all-weather traction and a manual transmission, that combination remains a major part of the WRX’s appeal.

That said, the WRX’s performance-first setup means you should expect a used example to have been driven with enthusiasm, so long-term ownership risk depends heavily on maintenance history and how the car was treated.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru WRX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on cars that may have been modified or driven hard. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, tire and brake wear, and signs that the car has been used as intended rather than abused.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru WRX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 986 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,157, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $30,308 sits slightly below last year's $31,540.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to sell later, the WRX’s enthusiast appeal and standard all-wheel drive should help it stay recognizable to shoppers. Even so, the softer pricing trend means future resale will likely depend on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.90% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $28,081, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $30,308 average.
• It keeps the current WRX formula with enthusiast-focused handling and a manual transmission.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the newer model year and are comfortable paying more for it. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter path because it delivers much of the same core WRX experience for less money.
