Overview

The term “entry-level” doesn’t have the same meaning when we’re talking about Rolls-Royce. Its “cheapest” sedan starts at around $400,000, edging on the median home price in this country.
What’s New for the 2024 Rolls-Royce Ghost
The ultra-posh car enters 2024 unchanged, but Rolls-Royce’s options list is almost endless, giving buyers several ways to customize the Ghost.
Design
The Ghost isn’t as stately or as imposing as the Phantom, but that’s the point. Its curves are a bit gentler and its roofline slightly more dramatic, but this is still a long, sophisticated luxury sedan, and there’s no mistaking that you’re looking at a Rolls. It retains the brand’s signature reverse-opening doors and iconic Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. As with other Rolls-Royce models, buyers can choose from almost any paint color under the sun, and there are several wheel designs available. The automaker allows an almost limitless customization program, giving buyers–excuse us, clients–the ability to make the Ghost their own creation.
Powertrain
Rolls-Royce gives the 2024 Ghost a 6.75-liter V12 engine that makes up to 591 horsepower and 661 pounds of torque in the Black Badge model. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD), giving the hefty car a good deal of thrust when needed. Rolls promises a zero-60-mph time of around 4.6 seconds and says that the car’s air suspension and near-perfect weight distribution help it carve corners with surprising agility.
Interior
Like all Rolls-Royce models, the Ghost’s cabin can be customized in a near-unlimited number of ways, including custom color palettes, unique, exotic materials, and more. The automaker offers an LED-laden headliner that mimics a starlit night, and buyers can add rear-seat massage, a rear entertainment system, and expensive leathers to make the Ghost’s interior completely bespoke.
Technology
The Rolls-Royce Ghost gets a large touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Navigation, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, and much more come standard as well. Rolls-Royce also offers a dual-screen rear entertainment system, and the car comes standard with a massively powerful 18-speaker Rolls-Royce audio system.
Safety
Though the government’s pockets are pretty deep, nobody’s springing to crash-test a half-million-dollar Rolls-Royce, which is why the brand’s vehicles do not receive the traditional safety scores we so often see. That’s not an indication that the Ghost or any other Rolls is any less safe than mainstream models. It just means that Rolls-Royce cars are so expensive and made in such small quantities that it’s impractical to crash them, even for science. That said, the Ghost gets a load of standard advanced safety gear, including adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warnings, automatic emergency braking, and more.
Pricing
The 2024 Rolls-Royce Ghost starts at around $400,000, and the Black Badge model adds about $50,000 to that price. Of course, very few Ghosts leave the factory at that number, as buyers often add custom features and options that drive the price skyward in a hurry.
