You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s past matches the listing details. The current average of $138,338 sits slightly below last year's $144,452.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more confidently today. Well-kept examples should still hold up better than average, but the broader trend points to a market where pricing discipline matters.

Should I buy a 2024 Porsche 718 Boxster or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.23% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right path if you want a current-year Boxster with a solid supply of listings and some pricing flexibility. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained car rather than the newest badge.
