Used 2024 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearMcAllen, TX

How much does the 2024 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 12.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,713 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2024 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.3/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

The Rogue’s refreshed styling and tech overhaul give it a more modern feel, and the available Platinum cabin adds an upscale touch. It also stands out for its impressive technology and strong powertrain, especially if you value a compact crossover that feels current in daily use.

The trade-offs are clear: the ride quality is poor, and overall performance is only fairly pedestrian. That means you’re getting a well-equipped, modern-feeling SUV rather than a sporty one.

With 39.6% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Rogue’s appeal is rooted in everyday usefulness, with a strong mix of comfort, technology, and standard safety equipment. The expert evaluation also points to a powertrain that punches above its weight, which is a good sign for confidence in regular driving.

Its performance content describes the engine as a “true engineering curiosity” that “punches above its weight,” and the cost-effectiveness notes point to warranty coverage that is about average for the segment. That combination suggests a mainstream ownership experience rather than a high-risk one.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific vehicle has been maintained well and driven in a way that avoided unnecessary wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same as guaranteed clean-condition vehicles. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with visible wear. Focus on cabin condition, tire wear, and how the transmission and suspension feel on a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SL, and Platinum models. Base Rogue S models get 17-inch wheels and a simpler equipment set, while SV adds new materials on nearly every interior surface and a 18-inch wheel design. SL and Platinum models bring the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, and Platinum adds leather seats, quilted stitching, and a more upscale cabin feel.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder VC-Turbo engine with 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a CVT, standard FWD, and available AWD. The engine is the standout; the transmission and ride tuning are less impressive.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic emergency braking. ProPilot Assist is standard on SV and more advanced on SL and Platinum, while adaptive cruise control is available on higher trims.
• Infotainment: S and SV models come with an 8-inch touchscreen and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SL and Platinum models upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Amazon Alexa connectivity, and Google built-in apps.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA fuel economy ratings weren’t available at publication, but the model was expected to deliver 33 mpg combined, 30 mpg city, and 37 mpg highway for S and SV models with FWD, and 31 mpg combined, 28 mpg city, and 35 mpg highway with AWD.

Which 2024 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Rogue’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get the turbocharged engine, standard safety tech, and basic infotainment, but the cabin and screen setup are simpler than the higher trims.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more polished interior, new materials on nearly every surface, and the standard ProPilot Assist system. It also moves you closer to the better-equipped tech experience without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• SL: This trim is the sweet spot if you want the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, the digital instrument cluster, and a more advanced ProPilot Assist setup. It’s the best choice if tech matters most.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most upscale Rogue. It adds leather seats, quilted stitching, more black exterior trim, and the most premium cabin presentation.

ProPilot Assist is standard on SV, while SL and Platinum get the more advanced version that can use navigation data to help slow for curves and interchanges.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,713 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,750, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $20,750 sits slightly below last year's $23,773.

That price movement suggests the Rogue is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you’re buying now, that can work in your favor because you’re entering at a lower baseline. If you’re planning to sell later, the current market implies you may need to price competitively to move the vehicle quickly.

The Rogue’s broad appeal and strong feature set should help it remain relevant with used shoppers. Still, the softer year-over-year pricing means future resale will likely depend on trim, condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2024 Rogue received top “Good” ratings in the small-overlap front crash test, the original-format moderate-overlap front test, and the original side-impact test from IIHS, plus an “Acceptable” rating in the updated side-impact test. It also earned a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover and frontal crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic emergency braking. ProPilot Assist is standard on the SV trim level, while SL and Platinum get a more advanced version that uses navigation data to help with curves and interchanges.

The main caveat is the updated side-impact result, which trails the strongest possible IIHS outcome. Even so, the Rogue’s overall safety package is broad and well-rounded for the segment.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It brings refreshed styling and a tech overhaul highlighted by Google built-in apps.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,670, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $20,750 average.
• It emphasizes style, comfort, and standard safety equipment.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $22,881, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $20,750 average.
• It adds Rock Creek off-road flair and newer highway driving tech.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best primary pick if you want the newest tech and the strongest current pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 can still make sense, but the 2024’s lower average price and updated features give it the edge for most shoppers.
