Is the 2024 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for a value-focused subcompact SUV. The 2024 Kicks emphasizes affordability, reliability, and straightforward transportation over flash, and it suits shoppers who want a small SUV with a practical footprint and solid fuel economy. Its main limitations are clear: it is small, not especially quick, and it does not offer all-wheel drive in this generation. Still, if you want a dependable, efficient daily driver with a simple formula, it fits that brief well. There are 32.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Kicks was built on a first-generation formula that emphasized dependable transportation, low complaint volume, and a reputation for solid fuel economy. It also kept a straightforward mechanical setup with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission, which aligns with its practical, low-drama mission. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about whether the vehicle has been maintained consistently and kept in good condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Kicks?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s past matches the listing description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on overall condition, signs of wear, and how well the cabin and exterior have held up. Because the Kicks is a value-oriented small SUV, condition matters a lot when you compare similarly priced examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $18,595, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $18,777 sits slightly below last year's $19,697.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the upside is that the Kicks still has a clear value proposition: efficiency, practicality, and a reputation for dependable ownership. Those traits help keep it relevant with budget-minded shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $22,523, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $18,777 average.
• The redesign brings a much better vehicle with a more polished overall package.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the smarter buy because it combines lower pricing with strong satisfaction and good inventory quality. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign, the 2025 is the better long-term choice for shoppers who prioritize the latest version over upfront savings.
