You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s service records before making an offer. That modest decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend points to steady but not especially aggressive retained value. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should be in a better position to preserve value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Ariya or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 41.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,675, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,483 average.
• It offers a stylish, comfort-focused EV with strong safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of deal availability, clean inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the value-oriented alternative worth cross-shopping closely.
