Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport a good car?

The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a straightforward, affordable subcompact crossover that emphasizes practicality over flash. You get standard all-wheel drive, easy parking and driving manners, and a long list of available trim-level features, including a larger touchscreen on higher trims and useful add-ons like heated front seats and push-button start.

Its appeal is strongest if you want an inexpensive AWD crossover with useful equipment and a familiar formula. The tradeoff is that it still feels dated compared with newer rivals, so you should weigh value and simplicity against refinement and modernity.

40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent number of market opportunities to compare.

Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport reliable?

The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport benefits from a long production run, and that history has helped make it a familiar, straightforward choice. The model’s long life has also helped build a reputation for solid reliability in later examples.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for well, since condition and maintenance history matter a lot on a value-focused crossover.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of rough use, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. Because this model is value-oriented, condition matters a lot, so pay close attention to the ride quality, cabin wear, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?

This is a buyer-friendly market for the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, with meaningful deal availability and a price trend that favors shoppers.

• Deal availability: 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,531 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,209, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport's resale value?

The current average of $18,209 sits slightly below last year's $20,375.

That price movement suggests the model is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly. If you plan to resell later, the softer market means your future return may depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the vehicle is equipped.

For you as a buyer, that can be a plus now, because a lower entry price can reduce your upfront cost. For a future seller, it means keeping the vehicle clean, documented, and well maintained will matter more when it comes time to list it.

Should I buy a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right pick if you want the current-year version of this affordable, standard-AWD crossover and you value a broad pool of listings. If you're especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing closely, but the 2024 makes sense when you want the latest version of the same practical formula and can find one in clean condition at a strong price.
