How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Prices have softened 4.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 838 listings available, which gives you a meaningful but still limited pool to compare.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview shows why: you get a distinctive boxy design, modern Mercedes luxury, and serious off-road capability in one package. It also brings upscale features like MBUX with dual 12.3-inch displays, plus the kind of performance and presence that make it stand out if you want an SUV that feels special rather than ordinary. The market reflects that appeal, with 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built with modern systems, lightweight structural materials, and safety and driver-assist technology adapted from other Mercedes models. That combination points to a more contemporary ownership experience than the G-Class’s old-school shape might suggest. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is less about basic appeal and more about expensive upkeep and the cost of keeping a limited-production luxury SUV in top condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s past matches its premium asking price. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of wear that can be costly to correct on a luxury SUV. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the cabin, electronics, and mechanical systems have been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain conditions.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 838 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $175,408, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class's resale value?

The current average of $175,408 sits slightly below last year's $183,946.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now and still leave room for future value retention. Because the G-Class is a limited-production SUV with strong demand and a distinctive identity, it tends to stay desirable even when prices fluctuate. If you keep mileage, condition, and maintenance strong, you should have a better shot at preserving value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $189,943, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $175,408 average.
• It gets a refresh with updated powertrains and tech.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger value play, the 2024 is the better starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for the refreshed model and its updated hardware, the 2025 is the better secondary path.
