How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Prices have softened 3.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 848 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview shows why: you get the model’s iconic military-inspired shape, modern luxury, and technology, plus serious off-road capability. It also stands out if you want a luxury SUV that feels unmistakable and highly exclusive rather than conventional. With 36.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview emphasizes a proven formula: a high-end SUV with strong four-wheel-drive capability, modern infotainment, and luxury features that support everyday usability. It also notes that the model remains expensive to buy and expensive to keep, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is tied more to running costs than to the vehicle’s core appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re serious about, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on maintenance records, signs of hard use, and the condition of the drivetrain and luxury features. Because this SUV is expensive to own, condition matters as much as mileage when you’re comparing examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 848 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $178,169, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class's resale value?

The current average of $178,437 sits slightly below last year's $185,401.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current range still shows strong demand for well-kept examples, especially when condition and equipment are right. If you maintain the vehicle carefully and keep documentation, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $192,224, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $178,437 average.
• It adds updated powertrains and tech.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest value play, the 2024 is the better starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and a clean inventory mix. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer refresh and updated tech, the 2025 is the better fit; otherwise, the 2024 gives you the core G-Class experience with less upfront cost.
