Used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 11.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,736 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out for its upscale styling, polished driving dynamics, and broad range of configurations, including sedan and hatchback body styles plus front- or all-wheel drive. The trade-offs are clear, though: it can get expensive, the trim structure is confusing, and practicality suffers from limited cargo space and a cramped rear seat.

If you want a compact car that feels more premium than most mass-market rivals, this one fits that brief well. The 37.2% good-or-great deal share also suggests there are still attractive listings to find.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is presented as a refined, well-built compact car with strong driving dynamics and a premium-feeling cabin. Its expert evaluation also points to a car that delivers luxury-like styling and performance, which usually helps confidence in day-to-day ownership.

The performance notes emphasize that the chassis handles corners well, the steering is tight and precise, and the turbo powertrain is especially strong. On the ownership side, the cost-effectiveness commentary suggests the car can feel expensive depending on how you value the brand, so long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical weakness and more about whether you’re comfortable with its pricing and packaging.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even with a strong accident-free share, because condition can vary widely from listing to listing. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a turbo model, and pay close attention to cabin wear, rear-seat space, and cargo-area condition since practicality is one of this car’s weaker points.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans sedan and hatchback body styles, and the hatchback-exclusive S Premium adds better appointments without requiring the turbo engine upgrade. Base trims are less richly equipped than the upper trims, so compare cabin materials and convenience features carefully.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. The turbo version brings much stronger output, while the naturally aspirated setup is the more straightforward choice.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Most trims use an 8.8-inch display, while the top two trims get a 10.25-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless connectivity is included on the Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-turbo FWD sedan is rated at 27 mpg city, 37 highway, and 31 combined, while the turbocharged setup returns 23 mpg city, 32 highway, and 27 combined in the sedan.

Which 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 12 trim levels: S, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, Turbo Premium Plus, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Carbon Edition, S Premium, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it’s best if you want the lowest-cost way into the Mazda3 rather than the richest feature set.
• S Select Sport: This is the first trim that appears in both body styles, making it the most useful starting point if you want a broader choice of sedan or hatchback.
• S Preferred: This is a sensible step up if you want a more polished daily driver without jumping to turbo pricing.
• S Carbon Edition: This trim adds a more upscale feel and moves you into all-wheel drive.
• S Premium: This hatchback-only trim is the best-value choice if you want better appointments without paying for the turbo engine.
• Carbon Turbo: This is the right pick if you want the stronger turbo powertrain and all-wheel drive.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the top trim and the one to choose if you want the fullest feature set, including the added traffic-support feature.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, so your trim decision mostly comes down to how much you value the hatchback body style, the turbo engine, and the extra comfort and tech features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,736 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,391, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $21,391 sits slightly below last year's $24,084.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, trim, and how well the car is equipped relative to comparable listings.

Because the model has strong styling, good driving dynamics, and broad appeal across sedan and hatchback body styles, well-kept examples should remain attractive to used buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 brings a luxurious feel, strong driving dynamics, and a broad range of sedan, hatchback, FWD, and AWD configurations.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,137, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $21,391 average.
• It emphasizes upscale refinement and hatchback practicality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $22,759, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $21,391 average.
• It adds a new base version and more tech value in select trims.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price movement, inventory, and the 2024 model’s premium feel, this year is the primary target. If you’re shopping strictly on price, compare carefully against the 2023 and 2025, but the 2024 looks like the sweet spot for value-conscious buyers who still want a polished compact car.
