How much does the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5 from owners, and the expert rating is 7.5/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 stands out for its upscale feel, stylish design, and excellent driving dynamics. It is sold as a sedan or hatchback, with front- or all-wheel drive and naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines, so you can tailor it to your priorities.

The trade-offs are clear: the trim structure is confusing, cargo space is limited, and the rear seat is cramped. If you want a compact car that feels more polished than many mass-market rivals, it fits that use case well.

The market shows 33.3% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is positioned as a polished compact car with strong refinement, and the expert review emphasizes its upscale cabin quality and enjoyable driving character. Its performance notes point to a chassis that handles corners well, with tight, precise steering and little body roll in normal driving.

The tech and safety equipment also support everyday dependability, with standard driver-assistance features and a well-equipped infotainment setup. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s premium positioning can make it feel less forgiving if you expect maximum practicality or low running-cost simplicity.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a turbo model. Focus on overall condition, because this car’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and whether the cabin and body still reflect its upscale character.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans sedan and hatchback body styles, and the hatchback offers more usable storage space. The S Premium hatchback is a notable value because it adds better appointments without requiring the turbo engine upgrade.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Front-wheel drive is standard on lower trims, while all-wheel drive comes on higher trims.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Most trims use an 8.8-inch display, while the top two trims get a 10.25-inch screen. CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless connectivity is included on Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.
• Fuel efficiency: The naturally aspirated front-wheel-drive setup returns 27 mpg city and 37 highway in the sedan, 27 city and 35 highway in the hatchback, and the turbocharged setup returns 23 city and 32 highway in the sedan and 23 city and 31 highway in the hatchback.

Which 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 6 trim levels: S, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Mazda3’s styling, standard safety tech, and upscale feel at the lowest price.
• S Select Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds equipment without pushing you into the pricier turbo models.
• S Preferred: Choose this if you want a more polished daily driver and are willing to pay for a nicer feature set.
• S Carbon Edition: This is the step where all-wheel drive enters the picture, so it suits you if traction matters more than keeping costs down.
• Carbon Turbo: Pick this if you want the turbocharged engine and stronger performance without going all the way to the top trim.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the most fully equipped choice, and it suits you if you want the strongest performance and the most advanced features.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features already included on the lower trims.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,679 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,370, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $21,370 sits slightly below last year's $23,872.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than broad market momentum alone.

Because the model still has strong styling and driving appeal, well-kept examples should remain easier to market than plain transportation-focused rivals. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Mazda includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go as standard equipment. Should I buy a 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 adds a broad mix of sedan and hatchback body styles, front- or all-wheel drive, and naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,099, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $21,370 average.
• It emphasizes luxury-like feel and hatchback practicality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $22,752, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $21,370 average.
• It adds value with a new base version and more tech on select trims.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest current-value mix, the 2024 is the better starting point. If you are price-sensitive, the 2023 can still make sense if you find a cleaner or better-equipped example, while the 2025 is worth considering if its added features matter more than the higher average price.
