How much does the 2024 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 5.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda CX-30 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Mazda positions this small crossover as a stylish, refined, and fun-to-drive alternative in the subcompact SUV class, and the expert review backs that up with praise for its rewarding driving dynamics and upscale feel. The trade-offs are familiar for the segment: rear-seat room is tight, cargo space is limited, and the turbocharged version is less appealing if you care about fuel economy.

With 38.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-30’s appeal comes from a combination of style, refinement, and a well-rounded driving experience, and the expert review describes it as easy to live with. Its powertrain is tuned for smooth, steady delivery, and the standard all-wheel drive setup adds confidence in everyday use.

If you choose the turbocharged version, the review notes that fuel economy is not its strong suit, so that’s the main ownership trade-off to keep in mind over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda CX-30?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a turbo model. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake feel, and whether the cabin and cargo area show signs of heavy use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes standard models with a 191-horsepower four-cylinder and turbo models with up to 250 hp, and the base setup is the better fit if you want a more affordable, balanced CX-30.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder offers good power for the segment, while the turbocharged version delivers more punch but uses more fuel.
• Safety package: Every version includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat alert, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims add adaptive headlights, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Turbocharged versions get a 10.25-inch display, while other models use an 8.8-inch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the larger screen adds touchscreen functionality with those smartphone mirroring systems.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged engine is rated at 25 mpg in combined driving, and the review notes that fuel economy is not its strong point.

Which 2024 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 8 trim levels: 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select Sport, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Carbon Edition, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 Turbo, 2.5 Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 S: This is the entry point if you want the CX-30’s style, standard all-wheel drive, and core safety equipment without paying for extras.
• 2.5 S Select Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want a smarter mix of features and price, especially since Mazda added this trim for 2024.
• 2.5 S Preferred: Choose this if you want a more upscale daily driver without jumping into turbo pricing.
• 2.5 S Carbon Edition: This is for you if appearance matters and you want a more distinctive look.
• 2.5 S Premium: Pick this if you want more comfort and convenience features while staying with the standard engine.
• 2.5 Turbo: This is the right move if you want the stronger engine and more engaging performance.
• 2.5 Carbon Turbo: This is the style-and-speed choice, pairing the turbo powertrain with a more distinctive presentation.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the top choice if you want the most complete safety and convenience package, including the advanced parking and camera features.

Move up the trim ladder to get adaptive headlights, and the Turbo Premium Plus adds the most advanced safety and parking equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda CX-30?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,774 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,221, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $23,303 sits slightly below last year's $24,685.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim choice than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the CX-30 has strong owner satisfaction and a desirable mix of style and safety, well-kept examples should continue to attract buyers. The turbo models may appeal to a narrower audience, but the overall package still supports demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS and five-star ratings in every NHTSA assessment except rollover resistance, where it gets a four-star rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every version includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat alert, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims add adaptive headlights, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.

One caveat from the expert review is that the automatic curve speed reduction technology can feel too aggressive.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 adds new Select Sport and Carbon Turbo trims, USB-C charging ports, and an available larger infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,570, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $23,303 average.
• It pairs an appealing design with a classy interior and enjoyable driving dynamics.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better all-around pick if you want the newest features, strong safety, and a softer market price. If you’re shopping strictly for value and find a clean 2023 at the right price, it still offers much of the same core CX-30 appeal.
