Is the 2024 Lincoln Aviator a good car?

The 2024 Lincoln Aviator stands out as a midsize, three-row luxury SUV that leans hard into Lincoln’s traditional focus on quiet luxury and refinement. It pairs smooth power with a hushed interior and sumptuous materials, while its size makes it easier to maneuver in urban settings than the larger Navigator. It also fits family duty well, though the third row is best suited for occasional use rather than constant adult occupancy.

What makes the 2024 Aviator especially appealing is its mix of comfort and technology. Standard equipment includes second-row bench seats, three-zone climate control, Sync 3 infotainment with a touchscreen, automatic emergency braking, blind spot information system, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping system, and automatic headlights. Available features add a 14-speaker Revel audio system, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive steering, an adaptive suspension with road preview, and a heated steering wheel. It also offers Lincoln’s Phone As A Key, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, with wireless CarPlay appearing in 2024.

Performance is another strength. The 2024 model is available with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 in gasoline form or as a plug-in hybrid, and both versions bring strong output. The gas model delivers 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, while the plug-in hybrid raises that to 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque and adds 21 miles of all-electric range. On the downside, the Aviator’s third row is cramped, Sync 3 is dated on used models, and rear visibility is poor.

33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still room to shop selectively.

For long-term ownership, you should plan for a luxury-SUV ownership experience where maintenance and repair costs can matter more than they would on a mainstream three-row.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lincoln Aviator?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the seller’s claims about ownership, service, and accident history. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin electronics, infotainment, and driver-assistance features, since the Aviator leans heavily on technology. Focus on overall condition, especially signs of wear in the third row, interior trim, and any evidence that the vehicle’s luxury features were not maintained carefully.

What is the 2024 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $49,184 sits slightly below last year's $55,033.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. • It adds more advanced technology and fresh styling.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around starting point if you want a balanced mix of price, inventory, and condition. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play. If you want the newest-feeling tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the upgrade path to consider.
