How much does the 2024 Lexus TX cost?

Prices have softened 6.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 702 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Lexus TX a good car?

The 2024 Lexus TX earns a 7.2/10 expert rating, and it is aimed at the typical three-row luxury SUV buyer who spends most of their time on paved roads.

The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

That lines up with the TX’s core appeal: multiple powertrain options, a comfortable and quiet cabin, and impressive technology. It is a well-rounded choice if you want a refined family hauler with a premium feel and enough versatility for daily use without drama.

The trade-offs are worth noting, though. The front styling may be polarizing, the TX 350 engine lacks the refinement many buyers expect, and the steering-wheel controls can be aggravating.

With 36.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lexus TX reliable?

The 2024 Lexus TX is positioned as a mainstream three-row luxury SUV for paved-road use, and the expert review describes it as getting most things right in that role.

Its turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is described as working well enough for typical driving situations with no more than four people aboard, and the ride and handling are described as just right, with a compliant ride, commendable body control, and accurate steering. The cabin is also described as quiet on the highway, which supports the sense of long-distance ease you want from a family SUV.

On the ownership side, the TX includes free 10-year subscriptions to Service Connect and Safety Connect, which adds some useful connected-vehicle support. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the TX’s newer design and technology-heavy setup can make condition and feature verification more important than usual.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus TX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific vehicle you’re considering matches its advertised equipment. A pre-purchase inspection is especially smart if you want to confirm the condition of the electronics, driver-assistance systems, and interior trim. Pay close attention to how the cabin presents in person, since the review notes that some combinations can feel too dark.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TX 350 comes in a base level of specification, plus Premium and Luxury trims. The Luxury trim adds upgraded ambient interior lighting and premium semi-aniline leather upholstery with artificial suede trim, while the base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• Powertrain: The TX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. It is described as adequate for typical driving, with a grating engine note and some torque steer in front-wheel-drive form.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control with curve speed adjustment, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, intersection assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist are also included.
• Infotainment: The TX uses a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The optional Technology Package adds a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, a surround-view camera, and semi-autonomous parking assist.
• Fuel efficiency: The TX 350 FWD is rated at 23 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 20.4 mpg during evaluation.

Which 2024 Lexus TX trim should I buy?

The 2024 Lexus TX is offered in 3 trim levels: TX 350, TX 500h F Sport Performance, and TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid model series.

Here's the short version:

• TX 350: This is the volume-selling version and the one the review focuses on most closely. It gives you the core TX experience with the turbocharged four-cylinder, and it is the best fit if you want the most straightforward path into the model.
• TX 500h F Sport Performance: This is the one to consider if you want the performance-tuned hybrid variant mentioned in the review. It stands apart from the standard gas model lineup by emphasizing a different character.
• TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid model series: This is the plug-in hybrid choice, and it is the trim to look at if electrified driving matters most to you.

The TX 350 Luxury model adds upgraded ambient interior lighting and premium semi-aniline leather upholstery with artificial suede trim, while the optional Technology Package adds useful tech but also introduces aggravating steering-wheel controls. If you want the best balance of comfort and equipment, the Luxury trim is the one that stands out most clearly from the review.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and the available traffic jam assist system is limited to low-speed hands-free driving on approved, limited-access highways.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus TX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 702 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $51,836, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus TX's resale value?

The current average of $51,836 sits slightly below last year's $55,176.

That tells you the TX has softened in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing suggests you should expect some depreciation pressure rather than a strong near-term rebound.

For a future seller, the upside is that the TX is still a desirable three-row luxury SUV with broad appeal. The downside is that the current trend gives buyers leverage, so resale value may remain sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment.

Is the 2024 Lexus TX safe?

The 2024 Lexus TX earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control with curve speed adjustment, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, intersection assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.

It also includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist, with available front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist. The system is generally described as smooth, accurate, and effective, though it can brake too dramatically when other motorists cut into the gap ahead of the TX.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus TX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.05% compared with last year.
• The 2024 model is the first year of the TX and is described as finally giving Lexus a credible three-row crossover SUV for buyers who spend most of their time on paved roads.

The bottom line: If you want the newest TX with strong technology, a quiet cabin, and a well-rounded luxury feel, the 2024 is the right starting point. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can shop carefully for a well-equipped example, but the 2024 already looks attractive because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy.
