Used 2024 Kia Telluride for Sale nearBuffalo, NY

How much does the 2024 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 11.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,260 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Telluride earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, roomy interior, impressive tech features, comfortable seating, and strong design. That lines up with the Telluride’s family-focused mission, since it’s a midsize, three-row crossover SUV aimed at everyday comfort and utility. The main trade-offs are the lack of a hybrid option, some cheap interior materials, and an irritating lane-keeping system.

Good and great deals account for 38.8% of listings, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers’ feedback points to a smooth, comfortable, and dependable-feeling SUV with strong everyday appeal. The expert assessment also emphasizes that Kia has kept the formula largely intact, which can be reassuring if you want a proven family hauler rather than a risky redesign. Kia’s long warranty coverage adds another layer of ownership confidence.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Telluride’s appealing package still includes some lower-grade interior materials and fuel economy that may frustrate you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance behavior, since the Telluride’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and technology. It’s also smart to pay attention to how the lane-keeping and other assistance systems feel on a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige are the core trims, and the base LX is the value play because it already includes a strong equipment set for a midsize three-row SUV. The X-Line package adds standard AWD, a center locking differential, more ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, unique grille and wheel designs, and roof rails, while the X-Pro package adds all-terrain tires, heavy-duty engine cooling, and higher towing capacity. The SX Prestige stands out for its premium cabin materials and upscale feel, but it also exposes more of the Telluride’s cheaper interior plastics.
• Powertrain: The Telluride uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. AWD versions include a locking center differential and a Snow mode, and the X-Pro package raises towing capacity to 5,500 pounds.
• Safety package: Kia Drive Wise is standard and includes collision-avoidance tech, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, and available Blind-Spot View Monitor. Some of the more advanced features are trim dependent.
• Infotainment: Every Telluride gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a cable connection, so wireless smartphone projection is not included. Over-the-air updates are available through Kia Connect plans, and higher connected-services tiers add features such as remote start, climate pre-conditioning, and voice assist.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD versions should get 20 mpg in combined driving, and the expert test returned 19 mpg on a mountainous loop and 17.5 mpg over a week of city driving.

Which 2024 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the best-value trim if you want the Telluride’s core strengths without paying for extras. It already gives you the roomy three-row layout, strong standard safety tech, and the family-friendly usefulness that makes the Telluride appealing in the first place.
• S: Choose this if you want a step up in equipment without jumping too far in price. It should suit you if you want a more polished daily driver while staying focused on value.
• EX: This is the middle-ground choice for shoppers who want more comfort and convenience features than the lower trims provide. It’s a sensible pick if you want a balanced mix of equipment and price.
• SX: Move here if you want a more upscale feel and more of the Telluride’s premium-leaning character. It’s a good fit if you care about richer materials and a more feature-rich cabin.
• SX Prestige: This is the luxury-leaning choice, especially if you want the most refined interior and the most complete feature set. It makes the most sense if you’re willing to pay for the Telluride at its most premium.

The safety package starts with standard Kia Drive Wise features, while higher trims add more advanced driver-assistance equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,260 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,495, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $35,495 sits slightly below last year's $39,894.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong demand and broad family appeal should still help the Telluride remain attractive in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2024 Telluride earns a five-star overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard Kia Drive Wise equipment includes collision-avoidance tech, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, and an available Blind-Spot View Monitor. The more advanced Highway Driving Assist 2.0 system adds automatic lane changing, but its behavior can be less trustworthy in heavier traffic and on steep grades.

The lane-keeping system without Highway Driving Assist can feel intrusive, so that’s a feature you should test carefully before buying.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Telluride’s proven formula with minor updates and strong safety and value.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,915, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $35,495 average.
• It adds new technologies and X-Line/X-Pro trims with a more off-road-oriented attitude.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,936, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $35,495 average.
• It suits long-distance travel well, but its aging technology can be irritating.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and family-friendly usefulness, the 2024 is the strongest all-around choice. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 can save you money while still delivering much of the same appeal. If you want to spend a bit more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2025 is worth comparing, but it doesn’t clearly outshine the 2024 on value.
