Used 2022 Kia Telluride for Sale nearBuffalo, NY

How much does the 2022 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 14.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,186 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Telluride earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its value, luxurious-feeling features, and spacious interior, and they also highlight its safety features and smooth ride. In use, that lines up well with its role as a midsize three-row crossover SUV that aims to deliver broad family appeal without feeling stripped down.

The trade-offs are familiar ones: some owners dislike the lack of wireless Android Auto, and a few build quality issues come up in feedback. Even so, the Telluride’s strong value proposition and family-friendly packaging make it easy to recommend if you want a well-equipped three-row SUV.

Only 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards shoppers who move quickly on the right example.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise centered on value, comfort, and the kind of ownership experience people are happy to stick with over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Telluride is exceptionally cost-effective, which supports the case for long-term confidence when you’re shopping used.

Kia’s complimentary one-year Kia Connect trial and strong warranty coverage add another ownership perk that can help reduce early-life hassle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core dependability and more about finding a well-kept example with no hidden wear or prior damage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior condition, electronics, and signs of uneven wear, especially if the vehicle has seen heavy family use. It also makes sense to confirm that the features you want are actually present, since equipment varies by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, S, EX, and SX trims span the lineup, and the base version misses some equipment that appears on higher trims. The cabin is attractive overall, but lower-half interior plastics can look too glossy, so pay attention to material quality if that matters to you.
• Powertrain: You get a 291-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and it is the only engine choice. Efficiency is respectable for the class, with 21 mpg in combined driving on AWD testing and 23 mpg with front-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Kia Drive Wise is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction. Highway Driving Assist is also standard, but it still requires you to keep your hands on the wheel.
• Infotainment: Every Telluride gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation and voice recognition. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available with this setup, and the voice recognition system is not conversational. Kia Connect is standard, and a wireless charging pad is standard on all versions except the LX.
• Fuel efficiency: The Telluride returned 21.1 mpg in testing on an AWD SX, and the EPA figure is 23 mpg with front-wheel drive.

Which 2022 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Telluride is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, S, EX, and SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Telluride’s core space, style, and standard safety tech at the lowest price. It gets the same basic V6 powertrain and the standard 10.25-inch touchscreen, but it is the trim most likely to leave you wanting more convenience features.
• S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful everyday equipment without pushing the price as high as the upper trims. It also gains a standard wireless smartphone charger, which helps it feel better equipped for daily use.
• EX: Choose this if you want a more upscale-feeling family SUV and are willing to pay for it. It builds on the lower trims with a richer overall presentation and is a strong fit if comfort and premium touches matter more than keeping the budget tight.
• SX: This is the most feature-rich choice and the one to consider if you want the most polished Telluride experience. It adds the highest-end equipment and is the trim to target if you care most about luxury-style amenities and top-tier presentation.

Kia Drive Wise safety equipment is standard across the lineup, but some convenience and luxury features still vary by trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,186 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,516, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $26,516 sits slightly below last year's $30,968.

That drop suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The Telluride’s broad appeal should help support demand, but resale will still depend on condition, mileage, and trim.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2022 Telluride earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings for frontal-impact protection for the driver and front passenger. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it a Top Safety Pick designation, though it missed Top Safety Pick+ because of less-than-stellar headlight ratings.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia Drive Wise is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction. Highway Driving Assist is also standard, and Safe Exit Assist helps warn occupants about approaching traffic or cyclists when opening doors.

The main caveat is that the Telluride fell short of the highest IIHS award because of headlight performance, so safety-minded shoppers should pay close attention to trim and equipment details when comparing examples.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds more standard equipment, including a larger touchscreen and more standard driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,963, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,516 average.
• It offers a similar value-focused family SUV formula with modest updates.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,915, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,516 average.
• It adds minor styling updates and new X-Line and X-Pro trims with a more rugged character.

The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want strong value, broad appeal, and more standard equipment than the 2021. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the smarter price-first alternative, while the 2023 makes sense if you want the newer styling and extra trim variety.
