Is the 2024 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2024 Sportage stands out as a well-equipped compact SUV that leans heavily on value and everyday usability, with a modern cabin, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Smart Key keyless entry with remote start and pushbutton start. Is the 2024 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Sportage’s appeal comes from the broader strengths of the redesigned model rather than a fresh update, and it brings available all-wheel drive, generous safety and driver-assistance equipment, and strong fuel economy in hybrid form. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history matter more than the model’s overall reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Sportage?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or incomplete repairs. Focus on overall condition, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one priced near the low end of the market. Because the Sportage’s value story is strongest in better-equipped versions, make sure the features and trim level match the price you’re paying.

That year-over-year increase suggests the market has held up well for this model year, which can help support resale confidence if you buy at a reasonable price. The Sportage’s broad appeal, modern equipment, and flexible powertrain lineup give it a strong position with used shoppers. If you choose a well-kept example with desirable features, you’re more likely to preserve value when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.62% year-over-year.

Consider the 2023 if:
