Is the 2024 Kia Soul a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Kia Soul. The overview points to a boxy, practical small vehicle with a lot of space inside and a lot of standard features across trims, so you get everyday usefulness without giving up its quirky personality. It also benefits from a new chassis, more current technology, and added convenience features like dual-zone climate control and wireless phone charging, which make it easier to live with day to day. With 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Soul?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Put inspection priority on recall completion, overall condition, and signs of wear that could affect daily usability. Focus especially on how well the car has been maintained, since a practical small car like this is best when the basics are in good shape.

What is the 2024 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $18,095 sits slightly below last year's $18,562.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future sellers may face some pressure if the market stays loose. The Soul’s broad appeal, practical packaging, and strong feature content should help it remain easy to explain to used buyers. If you keep mileage, condition, and recall status in check, you improve your odds of holding value better than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $17,220, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $18,095 average.
• It emphasizes style, space, and value in a more focused package.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the newer feature set, stronger convenience equipment, and a model year that still looks reasonably priced relative to its range. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if you find one in clean condition with the right maintenance history.
