What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Niro EV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had any repairs or cosmetic work. Focus on battery-related condition, charging behavior, and overall wear so you can separate a clean example from one that has been lightly used but poorly maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Niro EV?

It looks like a buyer's market, with decent deal availability and a healthy pool of listings to choose from.

• Deal availability: 42.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 701 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,941, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Niro EV's resale value?

The current average of $22,229 sits slightly below last year's $24,029.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying closer to the low end of the range can help protect your position. Strong demand at the used-car level still matters, especially when a model has broad inventory and solid owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Niro EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 42.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,188, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $22,229 average.
• The 2023 offers a redesigned, more polished look with broad availability and practical everyday usability.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, deal share, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value-focused alternative.
