Used 2024 Kia Carnival for Sale nearSeattle, WA

How much does the 2024 Kia Carnival cost?

Prices have softened 9.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,744 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Carnival earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

It stands out as a practical family vehicle that feels more polished and distinctive than the usual minivan, with an SUV-like design and a strong driving experience. It also brings a powerful V6 and is described as a good value for money, while Kia’s excellent warranty adds to the appeal.

The trade-offs are clear: you give up hybrid and all-wheel drive options, and the seats are not easy to fold. For shoppers who want a family hauler that looks and feels less utilitarian, those compromises may be acceptable.

Only 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market has some room for negotiation but not a flood of bargains.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Kia Carnival is presented as a strong long-term family vehicle because it combines a polished driving experience with Kia’s excellent warranty coverage. Its powertrain is described as refined, with smooth shifting and a V6 that works without complaint, which supports confidence in everyday use.

Kia’s warranty coverage is especially notable for used buyers, since it helps reduce ownership anxiety over time. Even so, the lack of a hybrid option and the absence of all-wheel drive may matter if you plan to keep the vehicle through changing weather or higher fuel costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, seat operation, and whether the trim level matches the equipment you expect. Because safety equipment and cabin features vary by trim, it is worth confirming the exact build before you buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX models get cloth seats, while EX and SX models get leatherette upholstery and SX Prestige trims get real leather upholstery. Heated and ventilated first-row and second-row seats, as well as dual sunroofs, are available, but the interior remains mostly plastic even in SX Prestige.
• Powertrain: The Carnival is offered with a 3.5-liter V6, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. There is no all-wheel drive option and no hybrid powertrain.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: The base LX trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The Carnival is EPA-rated at 22 mpg combined, including 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Kia Carnival trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Carnival experience with an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it is the most basic trim.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel with leatherette upholstery and the larger 12.3-inch infotainment setup. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to focus on.
• SX: This trim builds on the EX with more premium content and is a good fit if you want a richer feature set without going all the way to the top trim.
• SX Prestige: This is the most luxurious version, with real leather upholstery and the most upscale presentation. It is the right choice if you want the most comfort and the most premium cabin experience.

Higher trim levels add more driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with some room to negotiate if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,744 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.40% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,726, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Carnival's resale value?

The current average of $31,750 sits slightly below last year's $35,043.

That price movement suggests the Carnival has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if the market stays at this level. A lower current average can help demand from shoppers who are value-focused, especially when the vehicle still offers strong equipment and a good reputation for comfort.

If prices stabilize, a well-kept Carnival should remain appealing to family buyers who want a distinctive minivan with strong utility. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival safe?

The 2024 Kia Carnival received mixed scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It received the top “Good” rating in the driver and passenger-side small-overlap front crash tests, and the same high score in the original versions of the moderate-overlap front and side tests. However, it received a “Marginal” rating in the updated moderate-overlap front test and a “Poor” rating in the updated side test.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trim levels get more driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system that shows a camera view in the instrument cluster when a turn signal is activated.

The mixed IIHS results are the main caveat to keep in mind, especially if safety is your top priority. You should pay close attention to trim-specific headlight ratings and the updated crash-test results when comparing examples.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Carnival or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ahead of a 2025-model-year refresh, the 2024 carries over unchanged with strong value and a polished driving experience.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,866, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $31,750 average.
• It offers stylish minivan practicality with strong value and a more upscale look.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2024 is the stronger choice because it combines a lower current average price, solid inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Carnival’s core appeal.
