Used 2024 Kia Carnival for Sale nearLas Cruces, NM

How much does the 2024 Kia Carnival cost?

Prices have softened 8.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,801 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 from owners, and the expert rating is 8.17/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

The Carnival is positioned as a practical family vehicle that feels more polished and distinctive than the usual minivan. It brings a strong driving experience, a powerful engine, and a design that looks more upscale than many buyers expect from the segment.

The main trade-offs are clear: mixed safety ratings, no hybrid or all-wheel drive options, and seats that are not easy to fold. If you want a family hauler that emphasizes style and driving feel as much as utility, it fits that use case well.

40.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign for shoppers.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Carnival’s appeal is reinforced by its strong value proposition and Kia’s excellent warranty coverage. Its powertrain is straightforward, with a 3.5-liter V6 and an eight-speed automatic, and the drivetrain is described as impressively refined. The ride is comfortable, the steering is easy to place in parking lots and on the highway, and the cabin stays quiet enough for fatigue-free road trips.

Kia’s warranty coverage is a major ownership perk, with a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile new-car warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Carnival’s mixed safety record and lack of AWD may matter more as your ownership needs change.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or higher-mileage examples. Focus on overall condition, seat operation, and whether the features you want are present on the specific trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX models get cloth seats, while EX and SX models get leatherette upholstery and SX Prestige trims get real leather upholstery. Heated and ventilated first-row and second-row seats, as well as dual sunroofs, are available, but the cabin remains mostly plastic even in the top trim.
• Powertrain: The Carnival is offered only with a 3.5-liter V6, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. There is no all-wheel drive option and no hybrid powertrain.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: The base LX trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The Carnival is EPA-rated at 22 mpg combined, 19 mpg city, and 26 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Kia Carnival trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, SX, SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Carnival’s core family-hauler formula at the lowest price. You get the 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the standard safety equipment, so it covers the basics well if you’re shopping on a budget.
• EX: This is the trim that adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It’s the better-value choice if you want a more upscale feel than the LX without paying for the most expensive version.
• SX: This trim builds on the EX with more premium equipment and is a good step up if you want a richer feature set and more of the Carnival’s available tech.
• SX Prestige: This is the most luxurious version, with real leather upholstery and the most upscale cabin presentation. It’s the one to choose if you want the best-equipped Carnival and don’t mind paying for it.

Higher trim levels add more driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

It looks like a buyer’s market right now, with solid deal availability and a meaningful price drop versus last year.

• Deal availability: 40.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,801 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,726, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Carnival's resale value?

The current average of $32,263 sits slightly below last year's $35,389.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim.

The Carnival’s strong owner satisfaction rating can help support demand when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival safe?

The 2024 Kia Carnival received mixed scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), including Good ratings in the driver and passenger-side small-overlap front crash tests, Good ratings in the original moderate-overlap front and side tests, a Marginal rating in the updated moderate-overlap front test, and a Poor rating in the updated side test.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trim levels add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.

The mixed IIHS results are the main caution for used buyers, and the headlights are also a trim-level issue because only the SX Prestige model gets the Good rating while all other trims are rated Poor.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Carnival or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over unchanged ahead of a 2025 refresh, while still offering a strong driving experience and excellent warranty coverage.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $28,471, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $32,263 average.
• It stands out for making minivan practicality look far more stylish than the segment stereotype.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, pricing, and unchanged 2024 content, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one in good condition.
