How much does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 12.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,364 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners repeatedly praise its off-road capability, rugged style, and manual transmission option. The review summary also points to the Wrangler’s distinctive character and broad appeal to drivers who want a vehicle that feels purpose-built for adventure.

The trade-offs are familiar: it can be a bear on paved roads, and the ride quality on pavement is poor. The overview also frames it as a vehicle that prioritizes capability and character over everyday comfort.

With 39.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively without feeling rushed.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as rugged and dependable in the ways that matter most to Wrangler buyers, especially for off-road use and everyday ownership confidence. The review summary also points to strong enthusiasm around its durability-minded character and the kind of ownership experience that tends to keep people loyal over time.

The expert review reinforces that sense of toughness by emphasizing the Wrangler’s body-on-frame construction, solid axles, and trail-ready hardware. It also notes the 4xe’s battery warranty coverage, which adds some reassurance for buyers considering that powertrain.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the Wrangler’s identity and more about whether the specific example was maintained well and used hard off-road.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with a strong share of clean listings, you should still run a history report and inspect any candidate carefully. Pay close attention to signs of off-road wear, since this model’s appeal often means it has been used in demanding conditions. You should also focus on cabin condition, tire wear, and any evidence of modifications or hard trail use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Wrangler’s look varies little across the lineup, but the most capable models stand out with larger tires and more rugged hardware. Base trims can miss some of the equipment that makes the Wrangler feel fully trail-ready, so check carefully for feature gaps before you buy.
• Powertrain: You can find a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a plug-in hybrid version of that engine, a 3.6-liter V6, or a 6.4-liter V8. The 4xe stands out for its low-end electric torque and 21 miles of all-electric range, while the V6 can be paired with a manual transmission.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims. The High Altitude and 392 models are exceptions, and there is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch center screen with Uconnect5, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. Navigation is optional, and the system also supports off-road pages, Trails Offroad access, dual Bluetooth pairing, and up to five user profiles.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4xe plug-in hybrid offers 21 miles of all-electric range, and the prior model year ranged up to 49 MPGe combined for the 4xe and down to 14 mpg combined with the 6.4-liter V8.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 6 trim levels: Sport, Sahara, Willys, Rubicon, High Altitude, and 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the trim most likely to leave you wanting more of the Wrangler’s signature trail hardware. It makes sense if you want the look and basic capability at the lowest price, but many shoppers will find better value one step up.
• Sahara: This trim is the better fit if you want a more polished daily-driver feel while still keeping the Wrangler’s open-air personality. It suits buyers who care about comfort and style more than maximum trail equipment.
• Willys: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful capability without jumping all the way to Rubicon pricing. It gets Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails.
• Rubicon: This is the trim to choose if off-road performance is your top priority. It brings the Rock-Trac transfer case and the most serious trail-focused setup in the lineup.
• High Altitude: This is the upscale choice for buyers who want a more premium-feeling Wrangler and also benefit from the safety-package exception noted in the safety content.
• 392: This is the performance-focused choice, with the 6.4-liter V8 and the most extreme powertrain in the range. It also gets the safety-package exception noted in the safety content.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 39.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,427, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $36,427 sits slightly below last year's $41,766.

That price movement suggests the Wrangler has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help support demand if you decide to sell later. A softer current market can also mean you may not recover as much as a previous owner paid at the peak.

Even so, the Wrangler’s strong identity and broad enthusiast appeal help it hold attention better than many mainstream SUVs. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally added first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024, and forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims, while the High Altitude and 392 models get those features as exceptions. There is still no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature available.

The safety picture remains a weak point for the Wrangler, and the expert review calls out low safety scores as one of its drawbacks. That means you should treat safety equipment as a key shopping priority, especially if you plan to use the Wrangler as a daily driver.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh adds more modern tech, safety, and refinement without losing the Wrangler’s rugged character.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,718, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,427 average.
• It emphasizes body-on-frame toughness and strong off-road ability.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,700, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $36,427 average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks across the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the most updated version of the Wrangler’s formula, the 2024 is the better primary pick because it adds meaningful tech and refinement. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path, while the 2025 is worth a look if you want a newer model-year alternative with broader standard equipment.
