Used 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S for Sale nearNew Brunswick, NJ

Is the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S a good car?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

Jeep’s first all-electric SUV brings quick acceleration, a dual-motor setup, and more than 300 miles of driving range, so it fits you well if you want a modern electric SUV with strong straight-line performance. It also seats five, offers reasonable cargo space, and has a small frunk, which makes it practical enough for everyday use.

The trade-offs are just as clear: it is expensive, the steering is described as lifeless, and the display screens can be distracting because of dust, fingerprints, reflections, and glare. Even so, the overall package is compelling if you want an electric Jeep with a performance focus.

Good and great deals account for 31.6% of listings, which suggests there is some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S reliable?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S is presented as a straightforward electric SUV with a dual-motor setup and a 100-kWh battery, and Jeep says it can travel more than 300 miles on a charge. The performance notes also point to predictable brakes, a composed ride, and a powertrain that behaves smoothly in daily driving.

Jeep also includes complimentary maintenance, which helps soften early ownership costs. The battery and charging setup is conventional for a modern EV: you’ll likely do most charging at home, with DC fast charging reserved for longer trips or quick top-offs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that you’re still buying an early-production EV from a new model line, so careful battery and charging-system diligence matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a high-priced EV with a lot of technology and a limited first-year production run. Focus on overall condition, screen quality, charging behavior, and whether the vehicle has been used and maintained as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: For 2024, only the fully loaded Launch Edition is available, so you should expect a well-equipped SUV rather than a stripped-down base model. The cabin is upscale overall, but some lower cabin trim pieces look inexpensive, and the display-heavy dashboard can be prone to dust, fingerprints, reflections, and glare.
• Powertrain: The Wagoneer S uses two 250-kW electric motors for all-wheel drive, and the over-the-air Propulsion Boost Package raises output to 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque. Jeep says it can reach 60 mph faster than a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, and the setup is aimed more at street driving than off-road use.
• Safety package: Jeep includes collision warning and avoidance systems, intersection collision assist, blind-spot monitoring with High Speed Overtake Warning, and Active Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control, stop-and-go capability, and lane-centering assistance. It also has a surround-view camera, parking sensors all around, and a fully autonomous self-parking system.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-inch climate screen, a 10.25-inch passenger touchscreen, and a 10-inch head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless charging and Jeep Connect app features.
• Range & charging: Jeep says the battery is 100.5 kWh, the EPA range is 303 miles, and DC fast charging can take the battery from 20% to 80% in 23 minutes. Jeep also says the home charger can replenish the battery in about nine hours.
• Battery health: On a used EV, you should ask for charging history, check whether the battery holds range as expected, and confirm that the vehicle charges normally at home and on DC fast chargers. You should also verify how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S is offered in 1 trim level: Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

The Launch Edition is the only choice for 2024, so your decision is really whether you want Jeep’s fully loaded first-year EV now or prefer to wait for lower-priced future versions. It brings the full technology suite, strong performance, and the standard safety equipment, but it also carries the highest price and the same screen-glare and steering drawbacks noted in testing.

The safety package is standard on the Launch Edition, so you do not need to move up to get the driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S?

This is a moderate market for shoppers who want to be selective rather than rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 193 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 95.9% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S does not have crash-test scores available yet, so there is no crash-test lead to cite here.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep equips the Wagoneer S Launch Edition with collision warning and avoidance systems, intersection collision assist, blind-spot monitoring with High Speed Overtake Warning, and Active Driving Assist. That system combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance, and Jeep does not offer a hands-free version.

You also get a surround-view camera, parking sensors all around the vehicle, and a fully autonomous self-parking system. The main caveat is that crash-test results are unavailable, so the expert safety score is based on driver-assistance technology rather than independent crash data.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It’s Jeep’s first electric SUV, with strong acceleration and a well-equipped Launch Edition.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds more versions at lower prices.

The bottom line: Buy the 2024 if you want Jeep’s first electric SUV now and value the Launch Edition’s full equipment list. If you’re price-sensitive, waiting for the 2025 lineup makes sense because it should broaden the range and lower the entry point.
