Used 2024 Hyundai Kona for Sale nearMidland, TX

How much does the 2024 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 6.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,068 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Kona earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The all-new redesign gives you fresh styling, new tech, and a broader sense of value in the subcompact SUV class. It is especially appealing if you want a small SUV that prioritizes everyday usability, features, and safety content over excitement.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the cabin does not offer enough covered storage. Even so, the combination of multiple powertrain options and standard advanced safety features makes it a strong fit if you want a well-equipped commuter or family runabout.

37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a solid sign that there are worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Kona’s appeal leans on its broad equipment mix, standard safety content, and the sense that Hyundai has built it to be useful rather than flashy. Its performance is described as fairly pedestrian, but the overall package is aimed at buyers who value everyday dependability and modern features.

Hyundai also emphasizes connected services and OTA update capability, which can help keep the vehicle feeling current over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright complexity and more about making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained and equipped the way you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Kona?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same thing as guaranteed trouble-free ownership. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, tech features, and driver-assistance equipment so you know the vehicle matches the trim and options advertised. Pay close attention to condition details that matter in daily use, especially if you want the convenience and safety features that help define this model year.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE gets the essentials, while higher trims add more substantial wheel sizes, more advanced tech, and more safety equipment. The Limited trim stands out for adding Surround View Monitor and blind-spot view monitor, while the N-Line and Limited also bring more upscale equipment than the lower trims.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder on the SE and SEL, plus a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder on the N-Line and Limited. The base engine is paired with a CVT, while the turbo engine uses an eight-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist suite is part of the Kona’s advanced safety story, and standard features include Safe Exit Warning, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and high-beam assist. Adaptive cruise control is standard on N-Line and Limited trims, so lower trims miss that feature.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come on only the two lower trims for now. OTA update capability is standard, and dual 12.3-inch screens are available with the Convenience Package and included on N-Line and Limited trims.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD reduces EPA fuel economy estimates from 26 city, 32 highway, and 28 mpg combined to 24 city, 29 highway, and 26 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Kona is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, N-Line, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value-focused starting point if you want the redesigned Kona’s core strengths without stretching the budget. It gives you the new look, standard tech, and the basic powertrain, making it the most straightforward choice for shoppers who care most about price and essentials.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds useful equipment without jumping into the pricier upper trims. If you want a more balanced mix of comfort, convenience, and everyday usability, this is the trim to focus on first.
• N-Line: Choose this if you want the turbocharged engine and a more feature-rich setup. It also brings more advanced equipment than the lower trims, making it the better pick if you want stronger performance and more premium tech.
• Limited: This is the most fully equipped version, with the most advanced safety and convenience content. It suits you best if you want the Kona with the most complete feature set and do not mind paying more for it.

The Limited trim adds the most advanced safety hardware, while adaptive cruise control is standard on N-Line and Limited.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Kona?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,068 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,977, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $21,484 sits slightly below last year's $23,065.

That price movement suggests the Kona has become more affordable for used buyers, which can make it easier to move later if you price it competitively. A softer market can also mean you may need to be realistic about your asking price if you plan to sell in the near term.

For future sellers, the current trend points to a model that still has demand but is no longer commanding the same pricing as it did a year ago. That can work in your favor if you buy at the right number and keep the vehicle in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Kona safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips the Kona with a strong set of standard driver-assistance features, including Safe Exit Warning, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and high-beam assist. Adaptive cruise control is standard on N-Line and Limited trims, while the Limited also adds Surround View Monitor and blind-spot view monitor.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The all-new redesign brings fresh styling, new tech, and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $21,351, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $21,484 average.
• It stays mostly unchanged while adding a couple of new trim levels.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of fresh design, broad equipment, and current market value, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is simply paying a bit less and you do not need the newest redesign details, the 2025 is worth a look.
