Used 2024 Hyundai Kona for Sale nearAlbuquerque, NM

How much does the 2024 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 7.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,062 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Kona earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The all-new redesign gives you a fresh look, new tech, and a broader value proposition in a small SUV footprint. It is especially appealing if you want everyday usability, multiple powertrain choices, and standard advanced safety features.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the cabin does not offer enough covered storage for buyers who want more interior organization.

The market also looks supportive, with 39.5% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Kona’s appeal is built around a strong mix of standard equipment, safety content, and value-oriented packaging. Hyundai’s warranty reputation and the model’s broad feature set add confidence for used buyers who want a small SUV that feels well equipped without moving up to a larger class.

Its performance is described as fairly pedestrian, but that does not point to a durability concern on its own. For used shoppers, the bigger long-term risk is buying a neglected example, so a careful history check and condition review matter more than chasing the highest trim.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Kona?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same as problem-free listings. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a vehicle with incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you are viewing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE, SEL, N-Line, and Limited trims differ meaningfully in appearance and equipment. The base SE gets the essentials, while higher trims add more upscale touches and more standard convenience and safety content.
• Powertrain: The SE and SEL use a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a CVT, while the N-Line and Limited use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The turbo setup brings more power, but the driving character is still described as fairly calm rather than sporty.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist suite is part of the Kona’s safety story, and standard features include Safe Exit Warning, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and high-beam assist. Adaptive cruise control is standard on N-Line and Limited trims, while the Limited also adds Surround View Monitor and blind-spot view monitor.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard, and dual 12.3-inch screens are available with the Convenience Package and included on N-Line and Limited trims. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on the two lower trims, while top trims currently use wired connections until an OTA update expands wireless capability.
• Fuel efficiency: With front-wheel drive, the Kona is rated at 26 city, 32 highway, and 28 mpg combined. All-wheel drive lowers those figures to 24 city, 29 highway, and 26 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Kona is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, N-Line, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and the core redesign benefits. You still get the new look, standard LED lighting, the 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and the base 2.0-liter engine, making it the best starting point for budget-focused shoppers.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds useful everyday upgrades without pushing you into the highest price tiers. It is a smart choice if you want more comfort and convenience while keeping the Kona’s core value proposition intact.
• N-Line: This trim is for you if you want the turbocharged engine and a more feature-rich setup. It also adds adaptive cruise control and paddle shifters, making it the most appealing choice if you want the strongest mix of performance and equipment.
• Limited: This is the most fully equipped version, with the turbo engine, paddle shifters, Surround View Monitor, and blind-spot view monitor. Choose it if you want the most advanced safety and convenience content in the lineup.

The Limited trim adds the most complete safety package, while the N-Line and Limited are the trims with adaptive cruise control standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Kona?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,062 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,968, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $21,482 sits slightly below last year's $23,220.

That price movement suggests the Kona has already absorbed some of its near-term depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. A lower current average can also make the model easier to move later, especially if you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well.

Because the Kona has strong value-oriented appeal and broad shopper interest, a clean, well-kept example should remain competitive in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Kona safe?

The 2024 Hyundai Kona earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai makes a strong safety case here by making several advanced driver-assistance features standard, including Safe Exit Warning, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and high-beam assist. Adaptive cruise control is standard on N-Line and Limited trims, and the Limited adds Surround View Monitor and blind-spot view monitor.

The Highway Driving Assist suite is a notable highlight, and the system is described as smooth and confident in lane-keeping. The main trim-level gap is that adaptive cruise control is not standard on the lower trims.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The all-new redesign brings fresh styling, new tech, and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $21,522, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $21,482 average.
• It adds only minor changes beyond a couple of new trim levels.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger value proposition, the 2024 is the better buy because it combines a lower average price with a full redesign and strong equipment. If you are shopping strictly on price, the 2024 also gives you more room to find a deal, while the 2025 makes sense only if you specifically want the newer model year and are comfortable paying a bit more.
