How much does the 2024 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 4.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,614 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Pilot a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Honda Pilot earns 4.4/5, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, its ability to fit eight passengers, and the value it offers compared with other SUVs. It also stands out for its family-friendly practicality and generous feature content, especially if you want a roomy, well-equipped midsize SUV for everyday use. With 37.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2024 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The feedback points to a vehicle that many owners feel good about living with over time, especially because they appreciate its spaciousness and overall value. That said, some shoppers do mention concerns about engine performance, handling, and missing components, so reliability-minded buyers should pay close attention to how a specific used example has been maintained.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a poorly cared-for example that amplifies the model’s reported complaints.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Pilot?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every listing you seriously consider, even if the vehicle is advertised as clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for signs of wear, prior repairs, or missing equipment. Focus especially on overall condition, since owner feedback suggests some buyers were disappointed by equipment omissions and drivability-related concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,614 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,771, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $38,935 sits slightly below last year's $40,883.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also suggests resale values may not be climbing quickly right now. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example should still benefit from steady family-SUV demand and the model’s broad appeal. Strong condition and clean history will matter a lot when it comes time to trade or list it.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,846, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $38,935 average.
• It brings a newly redesigned, more rugged look with added comfort and convenience.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $42,306, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $38,935 average.
• It simplifies the lineup with a single powertrain and easy-to-live-with practicality.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want a balanced mix of price, features, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want the newer model-year setup and do not mind paying more, the 2025 is the alternative to compare.
