What is the 2024 Honda Civic Type R's resale value?

The current average of $45,325 sits slightly below last year's $45,679.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed relatively stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to predictable demand and less risk of a sudden value drop. The model’s strong enthusiast appeal should also help keep interest steady when you decide to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Civic Type R or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,979, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $45,325 average.
• It is more playful and exhilarating to drive.

The bottom line: If you want the more current version with stable pricing and strong inventory quality, the 2024 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up some of the newer-year pricing stability, the 2023 is the smarter value play.
