What is the 2024 Honda Civic Type R's resale value?

The current average of $45,357 sits slightly below last year's $45,598.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed relatively stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. You are not looking at a steep drop that would signal weak demand, and the current pricing range still supports a healthy used-market position. Because the model has strong enthusiast appeal and a clear identity, it should remain easier to explain and market than a more ordinary compact car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Civic Type R or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,953, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $45,357 average.
• It is more exhilarating and playful.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around pick, the 2024 is the better target because it combines stable pricing, strong satisfaction, and a healthy share of clean listings. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with its older tech and slightly lower price point.
