How much does the 2024 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 13.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,541 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, capability, and a more refined ride than older versions. It adds more than a foot between the front and rear axles, which translates into extra passenger room in the third row and more cargo space behind it. For this generation, GMC also moved to an independent rear suspension, a change that improved ride and handling while helping create a more comfortable third-row seat and additional cargo capacity.

For you, that means the Yukon XL makes the most sense if you need serious room for passengers and cargo and want a truck-based SUV that still feels comfortable on the road. The broad feature set across the lineup adds to its appeal, especially if you value convenience and comfort features in a large family hauler. 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, capability, and a more refined ride than older versions. It also benefits from an independent rear suspension, which improved ride and handling while helping create a more comfortable third-row seat and additional cargo capacity.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large body-on-frame SUV like this can bring higher running costs and more wear-related expense than a smaller vehicle, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and any evidence that the vehicle has been used hard. Because this is a large SUV with a lot of equipment and available comfort features, you should also check that every major system works as intended, especially the infotainment, seating, and suspension-related features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,541 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,458, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $61,458 sits slightly below last year's $71,159.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the Yukon XL’s value will likely depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well it has been maintained. A clean history and strong equipment level should help you protect more of your value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.63% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better pick if you want the newer-year pricing context and a strong mix of inventory, accident-free listings, and softened prices. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 gives you a solid balance of availability and value.
