How much does the 2024 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 13.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,541 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, comfort, and flexibility. It adds more than a foot between the front and rear axles, which gives it extra passenger room in the third row and a lot more cargo space behind it. For you, that means this model makes the most sense if you need a large SUV that can carry people and gear without feeling cramped.

For 2024, GMC updated the exterior styling and upgraded the infotainment system. The Yukon XL also benefits from the fourth-generation redesign’s independent rear suspension, which improved ride and handling while helping create a more comfortable third-row seat and additional cargo capacity. Its strengths are clear: abundant space, multiple powertrains, and a more refined ride than older versions.

37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL is built around a familiar full-size SUV formula, with a standard 5.3L V8 engine and a layout designed for comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. Its independent rear suspension and updated infotainment system help make it feel more polished than older versions.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a large, truck-based SUV, so you should expect the usual wear-and-tear considerations that come with a vehicle of this size and complexity.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and major mechanical systems. Because this is a large SUV with available luxury and convenience features, pay close attention to how well the seats, infotainment, and power accessories work, and make sure the vehicle’s condition matches its asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,541 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,185, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $61,185 sits slightly below last year's $70,821.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work in your favor if you're buying now. If you're planning to sell later, the current softness means resale value may not be as strong as it was a year ago. Even so, the Yukon XL's space and utility should help it remain appealing to shoppers who need a large SUV with serious passenger and cargo capacity.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.61% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better choice if you want the updated styling, upgraded infotainment, and the same space-first formula that defines the Yukon XL. If you're more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, especially if you can find a cleaner example at a lower asking price.
