How much does the 2024 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 3.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,553 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of options to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2024 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a compact SUV that leans more premium and more angular than many rivals, with a roomy cabin for four adults, or five at a pinch, plus a useful set of standard safety and driver-assistance features. If you want a small SUV that feels a little more upscale than basic transportation, its comfort, space, and equipment make a strong case. Good and great deals account for 36.6% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Terrain is described as having good reliability scores for its gasoline engines, and it also comes with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That combination makes it appealing if you want a straightforward small SUV with a reputation for dependable everyday use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained well, since condition and service history matter more as mileage climbs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully and confirm that the listing matches the vehicle’s actual condition and equipment. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, cargo area, and drivetrain behavior, since the Terrain’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and everyday usability. Focus on signs of wear that could affect how well the SUV fits your needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,553 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,225, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $23,875 sits slightly below last year's $24,635.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale will depend on how well the market holds up. If prices remain stable or recover, a well-kept Terrain could be easier to move later. If you buy near the low end of the range, you may also have a better cushion against depreciation. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is a good pick if you want a compact SUV with a premium feel, a roomy cabin, and a strong satisfaction score, especially if you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 remains the cleaner choice when you want a balanced mix of value, comfort, and market availability.
