Used 2024 GMC Acadia for Sale nearLafayette, LA

How much does the 2024 GMC Acadia cost?

Prices have softened 8.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,388 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Acadia a good car?

Yes — the 2024 GMC Acadia earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

The Acadia is a redesigned three-row crossover SUV that aims to deliver a full-size feel in a midsize package, and its well-executed cabin and easy-to-use technology are two of its strongest points. It also offers plenty of cargo space, which makes it a practical fit if you want family-focused utility and flexibility for people and gear.

The trade-offs are that its design may be polarizing and its driving experience is fairly pedestrian. If you care more about space, tech, and overall execution than driving excitement, it fits that use case well. 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Acadia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Acadia’s redesign brings a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a revamped interior, and a more substantial presence, all of which point to a modernized ownership experience. Its expert assessment also highlights strong interior execution and useful technology, which can matter in day-to-day dependability because well-integrated systems tend to be easier to live with over time.

The engine is described as pulling strongly and consistently, and the available towing setup is presented as a capable match for the class. GMC also includes a three-year, 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty on new vehicles, which is a useful ownership backdrop when you’re evaluating used examples.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the vehicle’s condition matches its mileage and equipment level, especially because the Acadia’s size, tech, and available driver-assist features make a thorough inspection worthwhile.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Acadia?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-by-vehicle review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, interior wear, and how well the technology and driver-assistance features operate. Since this model is a redesigned SUV with a lot of equipment, it’s smart to confirm that every major system works as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Elevation replaces the previous SLE and SLT trims, while AT4 and Denali add more distinct personalities. The Elevation comes standard with 18-inch wheels, the AT4 gets model-specific 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and the Denali moves to standard 20-inch wheels with optional 22s. If you want the most rugged look and hardware, the AT4 stands apart; if you want the more upscale presentation, the Denali is the one to inspect closely.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Acadia uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on Elevation and Denali, while all-wheel drive is standard on AT4 and available on the other trims. The engine is described as strong and capable, though its note can be coarse.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning, a following-distance indicator, automatic emergency braking front and rear, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, traffic-sign recognition, a rear-seat reminder, and a vibrating safety alert seat. Super Cruise is optional on all trim levels, and a rearview camera mirror plus surround-view camera system are also available.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 11-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless device charging, a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, and at least one USB port per row are standard, and Google built-in apps are integrated into the system. An 8-inch head-up display and a 16-speaker Bose system are available.
• Fuel efficiency: GMC estimates 23 mpg combined for FWD models and 21 mpg combined for AWD models, with 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway for FWD and 19 mpg city/24 mpg highway for AWD.

Which 2024 GMC Acadia trim should I buy?

The 2024 GMC Acadia is offered in 3 trim levels: Elevation, AT4, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• Elevation: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the redesigned cabin, the standard 15-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the new turbocharged engine. It makes the most sense if you want the Acadia’s core space-and-tech appeal without paying for the more specialized trims.
• AT4: This is the best fit if you want the most rugged version of the Acadia. It adds all-wheel drive, a twin-clutch system tuned for off-road driving, a 1.2-inch ride-height lift, skid plates, Terrain mode, and unique exterior details. It’s the trim to choose if you value capability and a more adventurous look.
• Denali: This is the upscale choice, with leather seats, unique styling, standard 20-inch wheels, and available 22-inch wheels. It’s the trim to consider if you want the most premium presentation, though the cabin materials are described as less convincing than the badge suggests.

Super Cruise is available on all trim levels, so you do not need to move up to a specific trim to get that feature.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,388 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,282, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $40,282 sits slightly below last year's $43,896.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make the Acadia easier to purchase now than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the model has softened in price, a well-kept example with desirable features should stand out more clearly against the rest of the market. If you buy smart and maintain it well, you’ll be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 GMC Acadia safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning, a following-distance indicator, automatic emergency braking front and rear, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, traffic-sign recognition, a rear-seat reminder, and a vibrating safety alert seat. Super Cruise is optional on all trim levels, and it adds hands-free driving capability while still requiring you to keep your eyes on the road.

A rearview camera mirror and surround-view camera system are available, which can help with visibility in tight spaces. Because this is a newly redesigned model, crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available at the time of publication.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model brings a redesigned interior, a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a larger, more upscale-feeling package.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Acadia with the strongest mix of space, tech, and updated design, the 2024 is the one to target. If your priority is lower purchase price, a nearby older year may be the better value path, especially if you can live without the redesign and newer equipment.
