Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearAuburn, ME

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 6.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,158 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy number of options to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners repeatedly praise its sporty design, fuel efficiency, and comfort, along with its modern technology and value for money. The overview also points to a more stylish, more modern approach than the old Trax, which fits the strong response to its redesign.

On the trade-off side, the expert notes call out limited grip and significant body roll, and the broader ownership feedback points to a lack of power and some interior ergonomics concerns. That makes it a better fit if you want an affordable small SUV with a fresh design and useful tech rather than a performance-focused crossover.

Good and great deals account for 32.5% of listings, so there is still meaningful shopping room in the market.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for comfort, value, and the kind of everyday usability that tends to matter over time. The expert notes reinforce that impression by describing the Trax as a solid new entry with a well-sorted powertrain and suspension.

Chevrolet’s warranty coverage adds some reassurance for used buyers, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition because long-term ownership risk will depend heavily on how the vehicle was driven and cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you want to check for wear, prior repairs, or signs that the vehicle’s condition doesn’t match the listing photos and description.

Focus on how the cabin, controls, and driving feel line up with your expectations, since the Trax is meant to be affordable and practical rather than luxurious. If you care about convenience features, make sure the specific trim has the equipment you want before you commit.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: LS models use 17-inch steel wheels and a cloth, mostly plastic interior, while higher trims add 18-inch or 19-inch aluminum wheels and Evotex upholstery. Activ models lean more rugged in appearance, and RS models add darker trim and a sportier look.
• Powertrain: The Trax uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, paired with front-wheel drive only. The engine is tuned for responsive low-speed pull and easy highway passing, with minimal turbo lag.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models get an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and Wi-Fi connectivity are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trax returns 30 mpg combined, including 28 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it gives you the redesigned Trax’s core value proposition at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the basics and plan to keep costs down, but it also has the most obvious equipment gaps.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier look while staying close to the lower end of the lineup. It’s a good fit if you want a little more style without moving too far up in price.
• LT: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it brings the larger 11-inch touchscreen, the digital instrument cluster, and additional rear-seat USB ports. It’s the trim that most clearly unlocks the Trax’s upgraded tech story.
• 2RS: Choose this if you want the sportier RS appearance with the larger screen setup and more upscale presentation. It suits you best if style matters as much as value.
• Activ: This is the trim to consider if you want the more rugged-looking version with its own styling touches and the same upgraded tech foundation as the upper trims.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so check carefully for the driver-assistance equipment you want on the specific trim and listing you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,158 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.33% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,513, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $20,513 sits slightly below last year's $21,898.

That softer pricing suggests the Trax has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a market that is still adjusting to the model’s newer positioning. If you buy well now, you may benefit from the lower entry price, but resale will likely depend on how well the vehicle holds its appeal as a value-focused small SUV.

The good news is that the Trax’s strong design, useful tech, and broad shopper appeal should help keep demand steady. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard features include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should verify exactly which driver-assistance items are included on the specific used Trax you’re considering. That matters most if you want a more complete safety package without moving up to a higher trim or optioned example.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model year marks the redesigned Trax’s return with a much more modern look, more tech, and a clearer identity than the old version.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Trax with strong value, modern tech, and a lower used price than last year, the 2024 is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping listings carefully and prioritize the cleanest, best-equipped example you can find.
