Used 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for Sale nearFort Collins, CO

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 8.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,723 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

It fits well if you want a full-size pickup that can handle work duties without giving up everyday usability. The Silverado’s available diesel engine, easy-to-use technology, and three cab sizes make it flexible for hauling people, cargo, or both.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not the class leader for towing and hauling, and there is no electrified version for sale for now.

Good and great deals account for 36.3% of listings, so you have a meaningful share of market-priced opportunities to consider.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Silverado’s broad powertrain lineup and work-focused hardware support its reputation as a truck built for varied use. Its diesel option adds versatility, and the cabin updates help it feel more modern than older full-size pickups.

The performance side also points to strong day-to-day dependability: the diesel pulls strongly, and the 10-speed automatic does its job smoothly in the background. The first scheduled maintenance visit is complimentary, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a truck used hard for towing, hauling, or off-road driving may show wear faster than a lightly used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, job-site duty, or off-road driving. Focus on wear items, cabin condition, and signs that the truck’s equipment has been heavily used rather than simply driven.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base work-truck trims get a seven-inch touchscreen and a mostly analog gauge cluster, while LT and above bring a 13.4-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Higher trims also add richer cabin materials, including leather and open-pore wood trim.
• Powertrain: You get four engine choices, including a turbocharged four-cylinder, two V8s, and a 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel. The diesel is the torque leader and the V8s pair with a 10-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and a following distance indicator. Teen Driver is also included, while adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, and Super Cruise are available on higher trims.
• Infotainment: Base trims come with a seven-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. LT and above upgrade you to a 13.4-inch touchscreen, available wireless charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel can return up to 29 mpg on the highway in 2WD form, while the ZR2 with the 6.2-liter V8 is rated as low as 14 mpg in the city. The tester returned 20 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is offered in 9 trim levels: Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, High Country, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• Work Truck (WT): This is the most basic starting point, and it makes sense if you want a straightforward truck for job-site use. You still get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the seven-inch screen and mostly analog gauges keep it simple.
• Custom: This is the next step up if you want a little more everyday appeal without jumping too far in price. It keeps the Silverado’s practical foundation while moving you beyond the most stripped-down setup.
• Custom Trail Boss: Choose this if you want a more rugged-looking truck with off-road intent baked in. It sits closer to the adventure side of the lineup than the standard Custom.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it unlocks the 13.4-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and more of the Silverado’s useful tech. If you want the truck to feel modern without going luxury, this is the sweet spot.
• RST: Pick this if you want a more style-forward truck with a stronger street presence. It builds on the Silverado’s core strengths while leaning into a more polished look.
• LT Trail Boss: This is the better choice if you want off-road capability with more comfort and tech than the lower rugged trims. It gives you a more serious trail-ready setup without going all the way to the top.
• LTZ: This trim is for you if you want a more upscale cabin and more convenience features. It moves the Silverado closer to a premium daily driver.
• High Country: This is the luxury-leaning choice, and it is the trim where Super Cruise is available. If you want the most advanced highway-driving tech and the richest feel, this is the one to target.
• ZR2: This is the off-road specialist, with a two-inch lift, front and rear differential lockers, and Multimatic shocks. It is the trim to buy if dirt-road capability matters most.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but higher trims add more advanced driver-assistance and convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,723 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,228, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's resale value?

The current average of $41,228 sits slightly below last year's $44,827.

That decline suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more truck for the money today. For a future seller, it also means you should pay close attention to trim, mileage, and condition so you do not overpay on the way in.

Well-equipped examples with desirable powertrains and cleaner histories should hold up better than trucks with heavy wear or limited equipment. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 safe?

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 earns five-star overall and side crash ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal crashes and rollover.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and a following distance indicator. Teen Driver is also included, and higher trims can add adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, and Super Cruise.

The main caveat is the mixed crash-test picture from IIHS, where the Silverado scored well on the driver’s side but poorly in front crash testing and headlamp performance. That means you should pay close attention to safety equipment and trim selection if crash protection is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 brings available Super Cruise on the High Country and a broad mix of engines, including the Duramax diesel.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $37,896, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $41,228 average.
• It adds power upgrades for the optional Duramax diesel and a new ZR2 Bison off-road trim.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and feature breadth, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one with the equipment you want.
