Used 2024 Buick Encore GX for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2024 Buick Encore GX cost?

Prices have softened 4.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,416 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Buick Encore GX a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Buick Encore GX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The 2024 Buick Encore GX is a smartly refreshed subcompact crossover that leans into an attractive design, a comfortable ride, and useful cargo space. It is aimed at you if you want an economical small SUV with a premium feel and everyday usability.

The trade-offs are that the new touchscreen underwhelms and performance could be better, so you should not expect class-leading acceleration or especially polished infotainment. Even so, the market shows 33.1% good or great deals, which helps support its value case.

Is the 2024 Buick Encore GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Encore GX is positioned as an economical, easygoing crossover, and the expert review backs up that practical character with a smooth ride and a decent powertrain. It also gets a strong expert safety score, which adds confidence for everyday ownership.

The powertrain is described as responsive enough for normal driving, though not especially quick, and the ride is tuned to soak up rough pavement. Buick also includes a free first vehicle service with an oil change, inspection, and tire rotation, which is a nice ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s modest performance and simple tech may feel dated sooner than its comfort and utility do.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Buick Encore GX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the touchscreen, driver-assistance features, and overall interior condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir are the trims called out for this model year. The Avenir gets its own unique grille and chrome trim, while the top two trims also gain new LED tail lights; base-trim shoppers should pay attention to how much of the premium look and feel they are giving up.
• Powertrain: The base setup uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and a CVT, while all trims can be upgraded to a 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with 155 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic. The turbo is the better pick if you want stronger response.
• Safety package: Buick’s Driver Confidence package is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, automatic high beams, and blind-spot monitoring. Rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera are extra.
• Infotainment: You get an 11-inch touchscreen paired with an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. USB-A and USB-C ports are included, and a wireless charging pad and 120-volt outlet are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives the Encore GX a combined fuel rating of 30 miles per gallon in FWD with either engine, and AWD with the 1.3-liter engine drops combined fuel economy to 27 mpg.

Which 2024 Buick Encore GX trim should I buy?

The 2024 Buick Encore GX is offered in 3 trim levels: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the Encore GX’s core strengths at the lowest price. It gives you the refreshed design, the standard safety suite, and the economical character that defines the model.
• Sport Touring: This is the trim to consider if you want a more expressive look without moving all the way to the top of the range. It should appeal to you if style matters and you still want the Encore GX’s smooth ride and useful space.
• Avenir: This is the best choice if you want the most upscale presentation, including the unique grille and chrome trim. It is the trim for buyers who want the most premium-feeling Encore GX.

Buick’s Driver Confidence package is standard across the lineup, but rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera remain extra.

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,416 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.08% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Buick Encore GX's resale value?

The current average of $21,964 sits slightly below last year's $22,898.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become a bit easier to buy, which can also mean future sellers may need to stay competitive on price. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

The Encore GX’s appeal comes from its comfort, attractive design, and practical space, which can help keep demand steady among used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Buick Encore GX safe?

The 2024 Buick Encore GX earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with five-star ratings in frontal crash and side crash and a four-star rating in rollover.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Buick’s Driver Confidence package is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, automatic high beams, and blind-spot monitoring. Rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera are extra.

A notable caveat is that the system does not let you fine-tune how early or late automatic braking intervenes, so some rivals may offer more customization.

Should I buy a 2024 Buick Encore GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 brings a refreshed look, a new touchscreen setup, and the first Avenir trim for this model year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,873, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $21,964 average.
• It is a practical entry-level crossover with comfortable driving manners and plenty of cargo space.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with the broader trim lineup and updated presentation, the 2024 is the better pick. If your priority is saving money and you can live without the refresh, the 2023 is the value-minded alternative.
